Either way, the twist of River City Girls feels like an excuse for an EOP to show off his obscure Kunio lore knowledge that he didn't know beforehand and was only taught about it while making the game.

=Make stats matter and just make enemies harder in the later areas? I have mixed feelings about this and maybe its not a problem. But it does make me wonder whats the point of having stats in the first place aside from thats how RCR worked.
+Add ability to change characters without needing to go to the main menu.
-Remove the shitty hold to skip cut scenes button. I recall one boss having 4. Just make the button require 1 press.
-Change the music. Current tracks are forgettable as fuck. I wish they went the Scott Pilgrim route and did chip tunes. Alternatively since there are boom boxes all over the place, allow you to interact with them and toggle tracks to one you like. Along with that have a track name pop up for a brief moment letting you know whats being played. I legit thought that was a thing since they're scattered all over the place. It would be cool for the Noize accessory.

Consider yourself lucky, I have the opposite problem. I'm so used to using the special attack to get out of trouble that I end up using it too liberally forgetting that the game removes quite a significant chunk of your health for its usage, or that I could just parry a hit in a combo and THEN use the special.

Knocking everybody down is certainly annoying. I know their intent is that you start beating them up while they're on the ground but parrying the wake-up punch from enemies seems completely random where it may or may not work.

Well let's see, the problems are this :
Enemies wake up at the same time, so if you knock down one they are all effectively helpless until you kill them
Enemies have the same AI and you often fight clones, so grouping them up is extremely easy
You have broken combos that keep them in that helpless state
Not using the broken combos/strategies leads to a boring as shit game because you're waiting for enemies to stand up

Now, what should I do to fix all these problems and why should I "fix" them when aggressive, varied, fun to fight enemies, a fast pace and balanced moves are something a good game should provide to the player?

Doubt it, unless you are exceptionally dense while playing. Final Fight nails pretty much everything that RCG fucks up. The unique enemy behaviors and timers along with small health pools and high spawn rates are what makes the game so fun, RCG lacks all of this.

What's stupid about all the things I pointed out? They are legitimate problems that notable beat em ups don't suffer from. Imagine Final Fight with every enemy having the same AI and long wake up timers, that would be an awful game. Why prioritize hollywoods and poisons, try to keep enemies grouped up when they naturally try to spread out, watch out for J's faggot footsies, kite around andores and use trash enemies as a resource for grabs/suplexes when you can just loop them all with ease? It's like if all enemies lined themselves up for convenient shifting

You can also use human weapon to reset them for a juggle or crowd control.

Personally, I think if you could throw enemies more horizontally it'd open up more crowd control options via throws.

What you mean one enemy? I could just keep the whole crowd looped with nutcracker -> jab instead. The game doesn't need more crowd control options, it needs crowds worth controlling. I mean look at what you already have, pretty much all the B moves either launch enemies horizontally or knock them down instantly, many other moves like air Y also do this. There is no point when the enemies behave the same, wake up at the same rates, and are so passive.

Yeah it's much better implemented in most notable beat 'em ups, including Fight N Rage. Each enemy has their own wake up timers, move speed, movement/attack patterns that match the enemy. They actively resist being grouped up like that, and when you do they drop like flies. RCG is the opposite, they do everything in their power to clump up but then take forever to die while they're locked in that helpless state.

One biggest flaws with the way the game is designed is that all of the entrances require you to press X to use them, but that also happens to be the game's basic attack button. So anytime you zone in, if you start pressing X to combo an enemy who spawns right next to the door you'll find yourself being sent to the area you were just at. This is a very, very, very basic game design element that I'm surprised wasn't fixed in even the alpha. Even something as simple as mapping the command to another button would make combat less of a problem as you now have to run away from the area's entrance before you can start fighting every time.
