pretty much exactly what happened here. they broke the news about their epic games deal and in the same exact post antagonized their userbase before they even had a chance to react. the whole thing was shady, I don't even remember seeing anything that could be remotely considered threatening or hateful. just concern over their weirdly hostile PR and general attitude. they even still have the original steam store page up just so it can generate more controversy over time. honestly the biggest phil fish tier moment I've seen in a long time.
