The hype and anticipation for GTA 6

is going to be insane

it's going to be the biggest entertainment launch of all time

>it's going to be the biggest entertainment launch of all time
bigger than that avenger movie?

they are gunna do Bully 2 first

>he thinks gta6 will ever be made

>Tfw it has the map of the USA on it and it takes 12 hours to fly from one state to the other.

it is going to sell like hotcackes but lets be honest every gta iteration after the ps2 era has been somewhat disappointing. I bet gta 6 gona have even more focus on online shit and will have a mediocre campaign.

good because GTA V is gay and modding San Andreas is a pain in the ass

At that point it would actually be kinda neato despite all the 'Muh empty space!"

GTA online ruined GTA

GTA online made rockstar billions

This. GTAV is pretty much garbage that took a huge step back in TECHNOLOGY and FUN in order to make a gay ads Heist flick and charge real money for virtual tshirts

I used to work at WETA Workshop eight months ago when representatives of Take Two came in to look at our photogrammetry technology for some upcoming game.

They wouldn't tell us what they were working on, but based on what they were saying, it's gonna be Vice City.

nice

what exactly did they say, Miami based (so vice city)

did they say what the protagonists were going to be?

>he thinks the best selling entertainment product of all time won't get a sequel

No word about the protagonists, they threw around terms like 'Miami dusted with cocaine' and and mentioned films like Scarface.

I don't know if they ended up going with Weta, and my personal involvement was pretty boring. I showed them 3D scans of some beaches we'd had commissioned around Wellington. When they mentioned Scarface I remember one of my teammates showed them a scan of a pile of flour - one of them laughed and asked if they purchase that model.

That's really all the excitement I have.

Isn't Weta Workshop a prop company? Wouldn't Weta Digital be more schooled in photogrammetry?

not really

I think it's peaked to be honest. I stopped giving a shit halfway through 4, the normalfags have to be getting there by now.

After years of stuff being hyped and turning out to be garbage, I am completely immune to the hyper train. I add the game's name to my 4chanx filters so I don't have to see it.

>all around the world, governments are illegalizing gambling mechanics
>release massive casino expansion
These people don't know what the fuck they're doing.

They screwed up by not adding the new online content into single player somehow. Not even simple things, like cars. Yet alone garages. They go through all the trouble to make the content, then purposely FUCK OVER single player because they want to sell shark cards more than they want to make the base game a better experience.

Ah sure, I understand that can be confusing. There's no huge distinction between the teams internally, especially in the department I worked in.

Without giving away too much, my involvement on a project would have a lot to do with designing and building physical props that also lend themselves towards being easily converted to digital assets/merchandise. Does that make sense?
