The opinion of critics is less than worthless these days. If anything, things are the opposite of what critics think, if they review high it's probably shit that isn't worth playing if you got it for free, if they review low it's probably worth your money.

Welcome to mecha, I can't think of any gundam series or mecha game that had a plot that made sense. It was all basically pseudo political power struggles and non-stop internal conflict for 90% of mecha stories I can think of, or both.

You go to a place and blow shit up, what else do you want? Escort quests? Sneak missions? Trailing missions? Most games work on a "Go do this one game mechanic at this one spot". How is this any more repetitive than a fps game or a racing game? Feels like they're missing the point here

AC2 was an early ps2 launch title. It was impressive for the time, but it's controls suck. You were forced into using the d pad for movement, could only use the thumbstick buttons for boost and extension items.

AC2 is good but not as good as some of the PS1 or AC3 games. AA is mediocre.

I disliked most of AA's missions. There were a few good ones like the Nineball ones and fighting that guy from Phantasma whose name I forgot, but a lot of them felt like filler IMO. Was AA the one with the dual fight on the sky elevator? I liked that mission too

I like it and it and AA are some of my favorite in the series. But I can't say it's that good.

The only reason it had such a respectable score is because it's the only From PS2 launch release that wasn't overly flawed (Like Evergrace) or just had nobody give a fuck about (Like Eternal Ring) and sequel fatigue didn't set in yet.
