Hi Yea Forums
I started reading and learning about Japan and its history, alongside their folklore and shit.
What samurai games are great to play, and specially to start with?
Samurai games
Nioh
Mount and Blade with Gekokujo mod
This, the gameplay I think is hit or miss depending on what you're into but the folklore presentation is top notch.
Nioh
Sekiro
Total war shogun (if it's still buyable)
mount n blade with mods
Civilization V (?)
There's also an upcoming ps4 game about samurais too
Sekiro
Toukiden is a monster slayer game that takes place in an alternate japan that got invaded by demons. Because the time is wack, a lot of souls from all periods of japan and their folklore end up being accessories to boost your stats, and they include a biography of said person or myth.
Another game came to mind. Hope you like the sound of samurai Diablo and killing gigantic turtles and bird people
this
Way of the Samurai series is a good (albeit a little goofy) samurai life simulator
samurai western
afro samurai
Way of the samurai 3 and 4.
4 is the better game but 3 is maximum atmosphere.
They are fairly low budget games though
Samurai Western is pure cool, I wish they'd make a sequel
Fuck the mines though
OP here.
I have already played Nioh and Sekiro. Total War Shogun and Way of The Samurai specially seem pretty cool. Are they easy to start playing?
Total war is a strategy game, i don't know if you would like it since most people here only play garbage, i never tried the other game though
Yes
Way of the Samurai
Way of the Samurai is not really that easy. You have to have the roguelike mentality that you will die a lot in the beginning until you get the ropes of it, but once you do it's a lot of fun.
Total War might seem overwhelming at first if you're not into 4X, but it's very manageable at easier difficulties.
Total War Shogun 2 is from when they just started to really dumb down total war games. It's simple but its not nearly as simple as modern total war games.
I play a lot of different type of games, and Total War looks kind of cool to do some zoom and watch the war unfold.
I used to play some samurai games in PS2 when I was a kid. I was always running around castles fucking up a huge amount of guys at the same time. Are they any good?
btw I'm going to be honest here. I have a huge hobby for writing, and I was thinking about writing something fantasy related to Japan, so that's why I'm trying to pick ideas from wherever I can.
You mean empire
play nioh my dude
>Total War Shogun and Way of The Samurai specially seem pretty cool. Are they easy to start playing?
they're easy and garbage
you want a strategy pre-1625 historical Japanese game? play nobunaga's ambition: rise to power, Iron triangle or sphere of influence. Total war is casual garbage that pushed alot of trash pop memes and garbage and tried to pass it off as history.
This
Way of the Samurai, but only the first one.
>I was always running around castles fucking up a huge amount of guys at the same time.
samurai warriors?
I think so. Are they any good?
