sheik main, tried to play oot but it was just too fucking boring.

I’ve played all the game series that are represented in Smash except Splatoon, Wii Fit, ROB, Ice Climbers (have played but not for an extended amount of time) and Xenoblade.

I usually play as Lucario, Lucina and Pikachu. Funnily enough, I’ve never played FE: Awakening and Diamond and Pearl are one of my least favourite Pokémon gens. I just play as those characters because they’re the most fun for me.

What game does Mii Brawler originate from?

I had never played any fire emblem games until last month. Have known about it since the GBA, but always assumed I wouldn’t like it. I emulated Sacred Stones when I was bored one day (doesn’t have any of the smash characters), and now I’m fucking hooked on this series. I’m playing Three Houses now and have picked up Awakening. Planning to play all the mainline games.

I recommend emulating one of the GBA games to see whether you like it. Nintendo generally just produces great games.

I replayed Awakening many times on normal and hard difficulty, never cared about lunatic, may not be the best FE but sure is my favorite.
I co-main banjo too, i did play both kazooie and tooie on my original n64 when i was a kid, but i never beat them because god it was easy to get lost, currently finishing kazooie tho.

There are game and watch collections for the GBC and GBA that I owned as a kid. They were pretty fun. Best games were Chef and Donkey Kong Jr. the soundtrack on the latter was absolutely banging too.

Of all the characters I play, my main has the least amount of play time on his originating series. Punch out is fun, but not something I play over and over. I mainly play him because of Hajime no Ippo.

That's how the majority of western Fire Emblem fans got into the series. Nobody ever heard of Fire Emblem until Melee.

I had no desire to play as Ike until I actually played his game. Nigga was just too slow and was only good for stealing kills on Wii's shitty wifi.

He was just salty and hella mad that he lost. She's very damn difficult to use properly in Ultimate though, you could even say that the effort's not worth the reward. If you beat someone up with her in Ultimate they absolutely cannot complain about her being broken, if they do they just outed themselves as massive scrubs. I guess that's a plus of her getting nerfed, beating people with her feels so damn satisfying.
Prior to her getting in Smash, I had purchased Bayonetta 1 and 2 and played 2's demo. I didn't play the games until she got in, though. You could say Smash gave me the push I needed to give them priority from my backlog, though I was already familiar with her and wanted to play her games regardless.

Admittedly I like Roy purely for his melee appearence. He had a cool design and voice, and even though I now know he is intrinsically inferior to Marth in that game, I still choose him over Marth.

I'm not as big of a fan of what he's all about in ultimate (or any of the swordies), but I still stick with him for nostalgia sake.

Reason why Daisy, Pit, and Diddy Kong are different tiers to their counterparts is because I've played Mario Land, Donkey Kong Country, and the original Kid Icarus but didn't really overly care for them. I also haven't heard about Kirby, Ness, or Marth, Ike, prior to Smash but have played their games later. Fire Emblem is a strange case because I played Shining Force before I even heard of smash, so I was familiar with the style of gameplay when I played Sacred Stones in 2005 or so. Even when I played the GBA games I wasn't aware of Ike's games until after Brawl.

Sakurai said in the Banjo showcase that since Banjo's music was country it wouldn't fit the tone of Smash as it is. Made me realize most of SSBU remixes have a similarish styles, probably on Sakurai's direction (they're all long as fuck too usually looping the original song 3 times at least). I think it would've been better if he gave the composers more liberty like he probably did for Brawl.

It's way too fucking easy with the infinite horizontal jumps. Only SOME -S levels and the boss "rush" are an appropriate difficulty.

Sakurai did mention that he changed the direction remixes were handled for Ultimate ever since he watched a grand finals that took place on Smashville with The Roost playing and felt like the music choice was kind of dampening the hype.

Smash is what made me play EarthBound, now it's my favorite game.

Go play DQ 2 and 3 right now. 2 has some grind issues, but it's not nearly as severe on the GBC port. DQ3 is one of my all-time favorite games, and I'm more of an oldschool FPS guy.

I feel like most people who play Shulk genuinely like Xenoblade Chronicles since there's little reason to actually pick him for his strengths when he's such a hard character to control compared to all the other braindead scrub killers you can pick in that game (Ganondorf, Joker, literally any heavy really).
