I'd agree that it's not that bad, certainly not Umbrella Corps or MG Surive level. It's just not what anyone asked for. I'd be hyped right now if they came out with Outbreak 3 or if it was more similar to the versus mode in L4D2. Right now I'm just let down.

It's not Outbreak. They've established that Alyssa and Rita are 100% canon in this universe beyond a shadow of a doubt, and there's a very good chance Yoko exists too. They wouldn't hint and tease at the original Outbreak characters, then give us a game that decidedly isn't Outbreak, doesn't have Outbreak characters, doesn't take place during the Outbreak, then call it Outbreak.

Evolve was garbage even disregarding the shit DLC. 90% of matches lasted nearly an hour and most of it would just be running around in circles after each other.

My major complaint with Evolve was that games were too quick, sometimes only 5-10 minutes, and it was very in favor of the hunters if they were all organized and competent. But you wouldn't know that because you never even played it.

And from the release of Evolve (2015), 2 other big name 4v1 games came out, both of them being extremely budget titles and one of them failing to catch a playerbase almost immediately. The other was released not even a year later and has been the only popular 4v1 game on the market.

They aren't. RE2make itself reeked of interference on their western side. The redesigns are inferior compared to the original and the writing reeked of trying to pander to the western audience. Both are done like it was made by an amatuer. Compare it to REmake and you'll see a major difference in how remaking the story and some gameplay elements were implemented. Some RE2 Enemies were cut because they were deemed "too goofy". Concept art also showed that the game had a lot of cut content due to time restraints. This is a big issue because RE2make is such a small game. It doesn't even have a good B scenario so OG RE2's improvement over the original isn't even found there. When Capcom EU was asked about fixed camera angles and tank controls for RE2make, They said no because they claimed fans don't know what they really want. This is after Capcom themselves said that RE2make was greenlighted because REmake and RE0 sold well digitally. The statement is nigh identical to the statement given by Blizzard's CEO when asked about servers for Vanilla.
As for DMC5, The writing reeked off pandering to both classic fans and the DmC side. Plot elements from DmC are used and Vergil ends up being a one note character when DMC3 already made him more than that. As for gameplay, They buffed tools that resulted in them being overpowered. Enemy step suddenly have huge ass hurtboxes and jump cancelling's window is widened so staying in the air becomes so easy. This is an issue because you're extremely safe in the air. The enemy AI is poor compared to what came before it. Enemies take too long to move into your view and start their attack and the camera aggressiveness system gives you too much leeway. Ranged enemies can't even finish their attacks because most of them are so easy to stagger while comforming to the aggression system.
These games are decent but they're in a way that doesn't give me hope for the each respective franchise's future.

Outbreak is a multiplayer game. Play it on Very Hard with people and you'll see how extremely well balanced the game is for a survival horror game.
