Not him, but this doesn't really change anything. The issue is in the action. Aoi trying to murder everyone, as a deliberate action, is actually significantly worse than Sayaka framing Makoto and trying to kill Leon. Their motives are also fairly similar. Aoi's emotionally distraught at Sakura's death. Sayaka's rendered unstable by the possibility of her friends' death and what that means for her. Good or otherwise normal people losing it and doing horrible things thanks to a motive is the name of the game.

In terms of perception, what you're saying checks out. But in terms of objective analysis of their crimes, there's a definite double standard present.

Aoi on the other hand has witnessed at least 4 people turn out to show their true colors and kill someone, then her best friend died as a result of what she thought was despair at being betrayed by who she thought were comrades. Not to mention Byakuya and Toko aren't really good people in the first place, hell toko is half a serial killer too. Kyoko isn't sociable enough to make a very good impression, and it's not a far cry to think she is also like the others and would take the chance to kill if given the opportunity (she does though it turns out okay). Makoto's a little beta bitch so who cares about him.

So as far as Aoi knows, everyone left with her is a bad person just waiting to murder someone (possibly her) and her only friend and only trustworthy pure hearted person in the group is dead as result of most of their actions. I dunno that's an understandable enough reason to give into despair to me.

Several days actually and Monokuma had more than proven at this point that he had power and . The simple kidnapping of people like her and Byakuya in the middle of HPA, can't just happen on the fly. The fact that he had bombs and could make something like Monokuma proved he was a certified terrorist.

Sayaka was trained to always act fast and never stop moving, or else she'd lose everything. That's how she lived her life and what she told Makoto. The motive video showed her friends down on the ground and she lost her mind. If you're telling me you can't relate to a scenario that treacherous, I have nothing to say.

Which has no impact on either him or Kyoko being good people who have basically been the duo that saved all their asses time and again. Asahina even expresses admiration towards Makoto for taking charge in trials and knowing what to do so you're also canonically incorrect. That Aoi is willing to kill herself and all these people because of Sakura's death shows how much Sakura meant to her. It's fucking wrong, but damn well sympathetic.
