I went to PAX and there were more video games than I could cover in a single day. A fair amount of ugly trannies, crossdressers and SJWs too but why would you bother going to any of those panels? It was an excellent, fun time and I wanna go again next year for sure.

I went to pax this year and it has the same problems it has but one more. This year many of the big games like ff7 were giving out tickets to play their games instead of lines. So if you weren't the first 100 people in get fucked.

Also the fact that they sell tickets a few months before they even release a schedule for panels and events so you have to either gamble and hope the day or two you buy has something you want to see or buy a four day pass

I've been to PAX West for the last four years.
First off there's still PC gaming stuff, they had desktops for you to play with almost all of them being occupied as well as BYOC.
There was also an entire hotel for tabletop stuff with gorillions of people in it.
PAX hasn't so much changed as much as it's just expanded, there were panels for all kinds of stupid shit, and judging by how many people went this year and how that room isn't filled, I'd wager nobody really gave a shit about that panel.
Also, they don't force you to go to any of that shit, you could just go to another hotel, check out some console games and play on that until you found something else that's interesting.
This year I mostly did VR stuff and had a great time, will be going again next year.
