How big is the map, anyway ?
See that mountain?
All of the U.S.
>Amazon Prime Simulator
You can put a ladder on it and climb even higher
This "game" looks gay as fuck. Imagine paying $60+ for a walking simulator. At least it looks pretty though.
>Yea Forums now likes empty open-world survival games
I miss Oregon Trail. Independence Rock had the best song.
>walking simulator
Will people team up to climb the highest mountains just to piss on them?
The combat looked pretty lame, but the traversal looks absolutely comfy.
I don't see any mountains. I see however, video games mountains, which are the size of small hills you can reach the top of by sprinting 30 seconds in a straight line
Is there translated gameplay yet?
Quite possibly the most pretentious, boring game idea ever conceived. I used to be such a mega-fanboy of Kojima, but after MGSV I had a rude awakening to how truly delusional I was. The guy should have “left the business” like he promised he would if MGSV was a fuckup. The Kojima train is over.
>comfy hiking with kojimbo shenanigans
What’s to hate?
reminder to shitposters that not every games needs to focus on gameplay, let people be happy about this
Can I visit my home town in the game? Or is everything grass and rocks
>climb the tallest mountain
>piss on handholds so other people slip and fall
if the games not fun then why bother
Damn, look at those graphics. You will never be as alpha as that dude on the right, carrying the entire family on your back while looking like a gentleman.
people find walking simulators and heavy cinematic games fun
again, not every game needs gameplay
We need specific coordinate though othere wise, the Piss would miss a milimeter away from the juice pot
>there's no gameplay
can't believe i'm even replying
>he bought a gaymen pc
For me, it's dysentery
But can I bring an ox and 10 grandfather clocks on my journey?
It’s the whole US
>not every games needs to focus on gameplay
they do, this game doesn't focus in combat but if the exploration is just a chore then there is not much left
honestly supper hyped about this game
this is going to be an amazing train wreck to witness
Oh wow it’s not another boring shoot em up gay action game
HURR DURR OREGON TRAIL IS A WALKING SIMULATOR
>game
>game
>game
Right, it's a fording simulator
Yeah but I'm assuming you don't spend literally hundred of days walking around the wilderness, or alternatively 60 hours driving a car, so I'll ask again how big is the map
Why is it ok for Breath of the Wild to have vast empty landscapes and not Death Stranding?
didn't play Breath of the Wild but at least people know what Zelda is about already
you need more than empty landscapes to sell a new IP
this already has more gameplay mechanics than Breath of the Wild
>tfw you take a pee standing up just like Sam in Death Stranding
>Make sure to clean up the drops before my wife's boyfriend finds out and stomps my butt
This really gets the noggin joggin'. So basically death stranding is a post apocalyptic retelling of the westward expansion.
Honestly most "open world" games aren't actually empty, they're stuffed with shitty filler content. I actually prefer open worlds that are literally empty (outside of the environments themselves) so you can just focus on traversing to your goal and taking in the scenery rather than worrying about checklist collectibles crap. Shadow of the Colossus is a good example.
Though it's hard to know if Death Stranding will have a ton of filler content or not. Doesn't seem like it. At most there's some enemy camps.
Game being good or bad, it will be the most dividing game ever, a side saying it is the second coming of Christ in videogame form while the other group says how dull and boring it is.
Looks like there is ubisoft map icons at major cities
It's 1:1 US, retard. We already answered you
>Briefing trailer says it took them 3 years and a fucking convoy to "connect" the US
>You will most likely be able to pull it off in less than a week somehow
Mark my words, they will botch the timeline hard.
I haven't cared about or looked into this game at all until I saw this post. That actually sounds interesting, is it real or are you just shitposting?
source?
I'm calling bullshit
That's basically what it is with a sci-fi/post-apocalyptic twist.
of course it's bullshit. It's not going to take a year to walk across a video game map.
I can’t wait to play it on a comfy rainy weekend
>even after the apocalypse, the Amazon wagie's work never ends
They are icons/items dropped by other players.
So I can visit my dad's house in-game since her never visits me?
Maybe this is worth looking into after all. Thanks user
Kojima made the Fallout: New Vegas fanfic game where you play as the Courier to deliver packages across the west coast and midwest that we never knew we wanted but now it just makes sense.
Yeah, right here

See this is the thing. BOTW is basically the same shit, you walk around a lot, find a shrine, and do that.
Here, you walk around a lot, find a base, and do stuff there.
How are they different?
youtube.com
reminder, this was right
Maybe it took 3 years because of the convoy and setting up towns and contacting locals
