Maya dies halfway through the story. Lilith dies at the end as a heroic sacrifice. Krieg and Gaige aren't even mentioned.

What happened in this experiment? Did they trick the rat into thinking that the lever was associated with a reward?

Damn you have a good point. Better go back to playing classic Wow.

They tricked the rat into thinking it had control over outcomes (food dispensing, electric prevention) and when they broke that illusion the rat curled up into a ball and refused to eat.

No the Skinner Box is a method to conditioning the rat to pull the lever after a noise comes out of the speaker, while the light blinks. If the rat does not do it after a time, the floor will strike the rat. At first the rat will push the lever out of pure luck, then after repetitions the rat will memorize the patterns and will pull the lever after the sound. Its like the basic beginner experiment in every psychology class.

>gaige not mentioned

0/10 I'll stick to 2

Sound or light goes off, rat presses the button and gets food. If it doesn't press the button it gets shocked. Operant conditioning based on rewards and punishments

who gives a shit about the story in fucking borderlands lmfao

How is that related to borderlands

Post a videogame that ins't a skinner box.

You belong in that box.

Literally every video game is a skinner box.

I guess it's supposed to be some edgy comment about how the game is killing stuff to get new items and explosions.
As pointed out, there really is no difference between that and any other game. They all boil down to "Do X, get Y"

Postal 2

What a bold and original message.

I cannot begin to imagine anyone unironically caring about the story of B*rderlands.

HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH

>boil down
thing is, some 'games' come pre-boiled for you casual entertainment.

Maybe the Idea of a "dumb" rat sitting inside a box (mothers basement) reacting to flashy lights (e.g Bosses), sounds (e.g explosions) pulling lever (Shooting, killing enemys) to get food (weapons). Honestly I dont give a shit because Borderlands is the shit and I will have fun playing with my friends.

>Borderlands is the shit
Yeah, it really is shit that can only be enjoyed with a group of friends all shitting on the game with you.

imagine paying full price for this and downloading the EGS just to play this lmao

What about the evil twins? Do they die? Does one die and one live?

They fuse to a scary space monster and die.

So it can be applied to pretty much any video game with any sort of gear or stat progression then?

That's it, lol these two characters die BIG SPOILERS.

Does BL 3 give you a reward for logging in every day? Does it lock you out of the game if you die too many times and then remind you to come back later? Then it would be a Skinner Box.

Damn Yea Forums I don’t even fucking care about this and I still manage to have it spoiled.

For once I ain’t even mad but I’m going the fuck offline when death stranding comes out.

How is that similar to the experiment?

>No gaige
0/10 not even worth a pirate

Any RTS game?.. Fightning game? Quake? Like any game where you have to earn your dopamine instead of having it being delivered to you buy artifically implented reward systems.

> Krieg and Gaige aren't even mentioned.
Good. they were DLC garbage anyway.

Ever done DMT?

Your retarded gacha shit is 10 times worse
