What are your hopes for pic related?

What are your hopes for pic related?

What are your fears?

I don't give a single fuck

I want the traditional formula and a world with more than 6 enemy types. The map is there already, they have no excuse for it to be so empty this time

>more than 6 enemy types
everytime this is posted the number is lowered; amazing.

>Hopes
New way to play BOTW. I don't want another 100 shrines with small temples and 2 new items. I would need playable or companion Zelda, or something that makes the map more interesing, like a flying mechanic

I hope its good, has more enemy variety and we get more of the new champions.

Attached: 9jjfa.png (1280x960, 594K)

bigger shrines
underwater stuff

that's it

I want to travel around with Zelda and rehydrated ganon

playable zelda or as follower ally with an AI that's not completely retarded

underwater swimming would be a nice addition, it's surprising BotW didn't have this given that they bothered to properly sculpt and fully render things underwater that you can barely see at all. Including actual underwater flora and fauna, like algae/seaweed, unique little fish models, etc.. I guess it was something they had planned initially but cut due to development constraints?

All amiibo exclusive content in BOTW is made obtainable in normal gameplay.

I hope that it was a loose translation and they don't literally mean it uses the same overworld as BoTW.

Attached: convenience.jpg (1140x641, 104K)

>I want the traditional formula

by that you mean the OoT formula, which stagnated the series for two decades.

I just want them to keep the open-ended puzzle designs, they can do whatever else they'd like with the game.

Attached: based.gif (367x219, 523K)

Underground exploration, more weapon and enemy types, slightly raised weapon durability and Blacksmiths, either to repair weapons or give them enchantments, so we don't have to always get them as drops. More differences between food and potions and a reason to use one over the other in a situation. The ability to swim underwater and for Link to not swim so fucking slow.

>Fears
Barely anything changed from previous game, same weapons, same enemies, same NPCs in the same towns, same upgrade system with Koroks needed for expansion

A few things come to mind:
>More enemy interactions (what’s there is great, so I naturally want them to take it further)
>More NPC interactions (take the idea of NPC moving about the world and doing things much further instead of the baby step BotW took)
>Castle Town
>more sea-faring activities (actual fishing, diving, and actual boats/rafts)
>no glider (made getting around and climbing up/down too easy)
>homesteading (they teased it with building Link’s house and Tarry Town)
>more lore
>make clothes matter more
>make cooking only work by recipes (no more cheesing fights or environments by stacking buff items in a meal)

Attached: AC10455C-3D68-4532-9497-0AE8DFC437D1.jpg (1024x576, 101K)

>no glider
I don't agree with this, it's not like the glider is a particularly quick method of travel so imo it should be kept.

Gameplay trailer when

Is the game awards too soon?

lets count I played the game in french so i don't know the actual names of the mobs, but the point still stand
>Bokoblins + Stalbokoblins
>Moblins + StalMoblins
>Lézalfos + Stalézalfos
>Hinox + StalHinox
>Magrok+Lithorok+Cryorok
>Lynel
>wizards
>Moldarquor + Arquor Rex
Is that it?

most likely not until January/February as part of a Q1 nintendo direct.

disgusting frog, get off this board. You're also missing various wildlife enemies: wolves, goats, rhino, bears, etc.

You're missing Keese and Chu

I hope Monolith have a bigger hand in the game and we get some really crazy environments to explore. Breath of the Wild's map was kind of bland with the exception of a few really fantastical areas like Zora's Domain.

Attached: Switch_XenobladeChroniclesDefinitiveEdition_screenshot_08_bmp_jpgcopy.jpg (1280x720, 248K)

>Keese and Chu
yeah thank you user
Lmao those are not mobs
>cannot be targeted
> will flee once attacked
>no HP bar
you could have at least said i forgot about the Yigas

better boses and dungeons

More enemy variety and more dungeons like the divine beasts.
Only thing I can think of that would bother me is more forced motion controls, but BotW wasn't too obnoxious with that.

>What are your fears

Attached: 49493.jpg (1078x940, 299K)

that it gets cancelled and replaced by a real zelda game with real dungeons.

>Hopes
Story has more of a presence in the game
More item types
The return of naturalistic dungeons
More overworld music (I'm fine with the style, the variety is the problem)
Playable Zelda
>Fears
Same overworld
Shrines are still copy and paste
Weapon degradation not tweaked

>those are not mobs
yet they are, they are hostile and you fight them. They are more of a mob than octoroks were in the original game for fuck sake

Better dungeons, better story, better combat, keep weapon durability but handle it in a different way, underground and underwater exploration, more customization options.
I think that was a misreport and that Aonuma just said that the people working on it were playing RDR2

>Sturdier and repairable or unbreakable weapons
>No sturdier and repairable or unbreakable weapons

>Playable Zelda
Huh i think we see her getting abducted in the trailer

Attached: botw2.jpg (1892x564, 180K)

>Hopes
its the majora mask of BOTW
>Fears
It goes full ubisoft

Climbing up and down high places would actually be a challenge without the glider. Horses would also be more necessary, since you can’t just glide from high point to high point.

>hope
Local multiplayer with a playable Zelda
>fear
Its gonna be the same fucking map with minor changes

climbing up is still a challenge, you can't skip the initial climb up without the glider - it just helps reduce tedium when you want to go between mountains.

How the hell did you forget the multiple types of guardians?
Also the curse bubble things that come out of the walls in some divine beast dungeons

and octorocks, and yiga assassins

I want the open world to stay the same but with newer enemies like skulltulas, poes, redeads, and darknuts. I want Zelda to be playable and not a damsel in distress, I want the Zonai to be a major part of the story and explained 100% I want dungeons and not shrines, but have some of the dungeons be dungeons from past games such as the arbiters grounds. I want the ganondorf in the trailer to be tied to twilight princess ganondorf

This. Except also give me more towns period, actual traditional dungeons, and deeper combat (a new weapon type could be gauntlets; don't tell me that wouldn't be sick as fuck).

>Bosses that make me feel something other than disappointment. Lynel is the only fun fight in the game imo.
>TP combat arts or some equivalent.
>A hard mode that does more than give enemies regen.
>Dark Souls Riposte. In botw the parries were almost always strictly worse than the perfect dodges and harder to time.
>Some of the other tools. They did well with bow and sailcloth, but things like Boomerang, Hookshot, Hammer need work.
>Better music. Some tracks in botw were stellar, most were bland and forgettable. I understand making a bland song for the overworld, as a boisterous song could get annoying, but battle themes need more oomph than they had.
>I want to be able to scan the Chrom amiibo and get Falchion.
>An easier was of filling the compendium. Metroid Prime had a good scanning system, botw did not.
I can't think of much more. Idk talent trees?

Attached: Snht17P.jpg (1245x1033, 154K)

i want more tools like the hookshot, pegasus boots, titan's mitts, those kinds of things
i want all weapons in general to have more durability
i want more magical items like the tornado, sand and water rods from lbw and tfh
i want bigger and more numerous towns with shops selling weapons
also no more arrow caps from shops unless we get quiver upgrades
and like says i want more enemies from past games to face

i fear that with the "zonai" being up and coming that all the sheikah junk is just gonna be left to rot

I hope it feels as fresh as majora's mask without being a direct retread.

I want this to go exactly like Berserk.

Ganon pulls an Eclipse on Link and rapes Zelda right in front of him.

Attached: carmella.png (396x383, 293K)

Probably loose translation. It will probably be along the same lines of ALBW and ALttP. At least I hope.

I hope we get the normal progression of an open world with a bunch of dungeons, gradual key item aquisition, relative freedom to tackle dungeons in any order but maybe some advanced tricks/sequence breaking required to skip roadblocks, that sort of thing. I want link's awakening or LTTP but in a big hyrule (hopefully less barren, or at least more enemies than just moblin camps).

I was hoping Ganondorf himself would be playable, and they did a thing with him breaking himself free from Demise’s curse. Didn’t happen in BotW one, though, so I hope they’ll do it in the sequel.

As long as they don't trade out BotW's shitty dungeons for MM's equally boring as fuck dungeons, I'm game.

Just, give us real fucking dungeons.

I want trains. That's all I ever want.

I agree. Perfect balance would be MM's sense of tension and threat, spooky without being edgy (TP), but standard dungeon progression with key items allowing further exploration in the overworld. I like the idea of super metroid sequence breaking like suggested too, could be interesting if Link's innate abilities are physics-focused and dungeon items are more standard stuff like hammers and the hookshot.

>Link falls down a pit
>struggles to find footing
>Lights a torch or whatever
>He's standing on bodies. A lot of them. A mass grave
>Something shifts behind Link
>he turns around and is grabbed in thr face by a decaying hand
>Dead Hand rises from the corpses behind it
And this time for an added layer of spook Dead Hand now screams like Orphan of Kos from Bloodborne

Attached: 32441052feace8ae1f92c171db235a65.jpg (1280x1209, 272K)

keep that bloodborne shit out of zelda, it shouldn't be edgy and so deliberate about it. the darkest thing about majora's mask was that the masks came from dead people, the rest was implied or hinted at through NPCs with unclear allegiances. I really hope they don't resort to adding generic horror game tropes like this. MM still felt like a fairytale world on the surface.

Hopes:

>Actual dungeons and lots of them.
>Bring back cool items like bombchus and the hookshot.
>More minigames, bring back fishing.
>Smaller map, but filled with more interesting content. Include less filler content like Koroks and shrines.
>Less cutscenes. It's a Zelda game, not a JRPG.
>More variety in enemies. Different types of guardians would also be neat.
>Swimming, iron boots, underwater breathing. Water Temple
>City hub with lots of side content and hidden things.

Fears:

>New dungeons are all generic linear caves
>Still a fuck ton of filler content in an empty map
>No big hubs, only scattered villages
>Terrible voice acting and longer cutscenes

Bigger towns
Deeper sidequests in towns
Deeper dungeons(totally fine if this sacrifices a zillion mini dungeons)
Weapons more durable, less weapons overall(maybe link can find infinitely durable weapons in quests but still use regular ones)
More wildlife and enemy types
Can only eat while cooking
Potions and buffs unusable in battle or action

Confirmation that the Shiekah merged the three timelines.

I want caves, I remember Aonuma mentioning how they wanted to implement them

I’m hoping for a more powerful pro version so all the ports don’t look and play like shit. I really want to play Nintendo games but I refuse to be shackled by shitty hardware and pay 60 bucks for the worst version of multiplats and Nintendo fist party exclusives that look like ps2 era games. Nintendo needs to either up their hardware game or price their software appropriately. No switch game should be be over 39.99

Are you for real?

Nigga go back to 2008

No PS3 can run BotW yet alone a PS2, you're insane

Yes I do want the formula that made the game successful for a decade. Open world and survival mechanics are for literal retards
That cant comprehend a well paced story

PS3 could probably run a downgraded version of BOTW
no chance of PS2 though
I don't know where the hell people got this idea that any Switch game has 'ps2 graphics'
have they not seen any PS2 games recently?

I want the thing from the trailer to be the new Ganon Tower and/or dark world mechanics, I don't care if it's a corrupted sacred realm (ALLTP), a never explained parallel world (FSA/ST), a mirror universe (ALBW) or just time travel between a peaceful past and a shitty future (OoT) but I want to be able to change between worlds

And I want Link to be left handed after the glow shit takes his right hand

Attached: Ganon Tower.png (576x1038, 930K)

>Hopes
Its not empty like BotW, an actual reason to kill enemies instead of running away, they change the weapon breaking feature, more dungeons, more bosses, less shrines
>fears
Itll be exactly like Botw with more shrines and less bosses
Open empty world
Muh sjw politics

I’m obviously exaggerating but the ps3 could definitely run botw it’s a Wii U port for fucks sake, plenty of ps3 games look much better than botw. Is it so wrong to want Nintendo games made for modern hardware? Not even asking for pc tier just competitive with Xbox/ps4 AAA standards. I’m fine sacrificing graphics and performance for appropriate pricing. I won’t pay fine dining prices for McDonald’s food.

I want forest temple, fire temple, water temple, shadow temple, light temple.
I want to collect masks so I can become fierce deity link.
That's all I want but in HD so I can really see the blood when I kill things as fierce deity.
And lots of sex so I can COOOOM

You are so fucking cool.

MM straight up has the best dungeons in the series

>TP combat arts or some equivalent.
why do so many people say this? TP combat is awful, it just consists of scripted animations, and janky ones at that which lock you into it.

A FUCKING TOWN IN THE GOOD DAMN SNOWY MOUNTAINS! SOMETHING! ANYTHING! IN THE GOD DAMN SNOWY MOUNTAINS!!!! AND DON'T YOU EVEN DARE PUT A SMALL GOD DAMN SHRINE IN A HUGE ASS COOL LOOKING MAZE! OR BETTER YET, HAVE ONE FUCKING UNIQUE AREA! WHY THE FUCK WERE THERE FOUR GOD DAMN MAZES!? NO MORE COPY PASTE YOU MOTHER FUCKERS!

The fuck are Zonai? Did I miss something?

>Hopes
Story & Dungeons
>Fears
Weapon durability and Shrines

Hoping it's a prequel and has actual temples this time around. Fearing it will be as shallow and empty as the first one.

E3 reveal, if it's even ready to be shown by then.

>>Experience gain and levels: Zelda 2
>Upgradable weapons, sturdier, repairable
>Various grades of shrine, double in length
>Focus on dungeons and equipment
>>Hero mode or Master quest: OoT/WW

I would like to see a Dark Link antagonist stalking Link at night. Replace Blood Moon with Dark Link being summoned.
Activating slow motion is now a limited shootable ammo from a weapon.
Underwater exploration
Fire fights where Link and an enemy blow a raging fire towards each other
No more fast travel
Can only cook and save at campfire. Limited space in bag to carry food. Food is mostly stored in a wagon.
Co-op
More urgency to scenarios
Boss battles in towns

>I think that was a misreport and that Aonuma just said that the people working on it were playing RDR2
Unlikely. Back in the day Miyamoto lost his shit over Shadow of the Colossus and sent the entire then-current Zelda team over to play it. BotW seems to be them finally deciding tech caught up with the scope. I could easily see them looking at other open world games and trying to incorporate their strengths

>fear

That Zelda will be playable. I would drop the series immediately if that comes to fruition

BTOW with SS dungeons that's the perfect zelda right there.

Yeah, Zelda has never exactly been known for enemy variety. All the games are just a dozen or so re-skinned enemies.

I'm hoping it is to BotW what LttP is to the original Zelda

High hopes, but it's the first time I've ever cared about 3D Zelda

I want a totally new world like majora's mask with better (but not traditional) dungeons and a greater focus on storyline without sacrificing player freedom.

I completely agree.

I think if they reuse the world they may be able to focus on other aspects of the game?

better movement options, like a just cause style wing suit, or just make the hang glider feel more fun to use, like have it be able to tilt the nose down and up to change our descent speed and shit

better physics fuckery, I hate when my tree rocket slides out from under me and I go from 100000kmph to 0 in a second

Hopes: They manage to work major dungeons and dungeon items back into the formula, and rework shrines to be more fun

Fears: It's exactly like BotW1

>hopes
The game launches with multi-language support so that I don't have to hear that hideous English VA for Zelda. Zelda is at the least a companion and doesn't get put on a bus for the entirety of the game again

>fears
Shrines 2.0

name a single zelda game with more than 6 enemy types

>more enemy variety, specifically some of the creepier enemies like skultullas and redeads/gibdos
>Castle town (I know we saw the castle rising in the trailer, but that could just create a lake in the moat instead of actually destroying the town
>more interesting physics mechanics tied to the new glowy hand. Maybe a hookshot type of thing that would allow you to move around in interesting ways. Base game already did a great job with the runes, but I want more
>underwater content
>some refinements to the weapon system. I don't particularly want to get rid of breakable weapons outright, but I think it could use some tweaking
>more cities/towns that are lived in, maybe some of the ruined settlements from the first game will be partially restored with people living in them
>underground content, such as large caves and dungeons. Of everything I want this one is the most likely
>more story based content in the game regions that were mostly overlooked like Faron and Hebra
>Story in general to be happening in real time, could be done by having important events happen after you get through a certain % of the game (clear 3 dungeons, get a new quest). Allows for the game to happen in whatever order you want, just like before, but still feels more actively progressive
>Ganondorf fight to be really good

>the OoT formula, which stagnated the series for two decades
the series stagnated because the devs got arrogant and lazy; they started believing their own hype at some point during Wind Waker's development and couldn't cope when customers told them to GTFO with that shit

I honestly have no idea what I want. I absolutely adored breath of the wild, so honestly as long as it stays true to that games feel I kind of cant see it going wrong

Hopes
>New areas
>New Machanics
>New Characters
>New Items

Fears
>That it'll basically be BotW with some DLC.

Attached: link and terry.jpg (1185x1280, 322K)

I just want it to be FUUUUN!!!

I'm gonna guess it's going to use much of the same assets, but in a different layout ala majora's mask

Don't remove the glider, but definitely make it weaker. It's fall speed should honestly be twice as fast as it does already. It should be more of a "I want to land without dying" kind of tool instead of a "I want to cross this entire area without touching the ground" type of tool.

Another skyrim clone
