Trackmania

He estimates 8000 - 10000 hours.

Attached: 220px-Gran_Turismo_3.jpg (220x311, 21K)

He used to buy racing games for himself on my PS2. Didn't play them THAT much though.

Serious Sam. Got him a t shirt with the bomb logo for his birthday last year.

The Legend of Zelda, he also like Ocarina of Time. Lately he plays Battlefield and MLB with my brother.

puzzle bobble

Columns. Or online Sudoku.

Tomb Raider and by that I do mean old PS1 Tomb Raider not new pussy style Movie of the Tomb Raider

Exactly the same with mine. Very occasionally played colin mcrae rally before the wii came out and he moved onto mario kart wii and got really mad at all the hackers.

Street Fighter 2
Age of Empires 2
Metal Slug
Goof Troop on SNES
Super Mario All Stars
Tekken Tag
mained E.Honda and Chun Li, and Anna Williams in Tekken

My dad has bought maybe 100 games in his life. All based on the title and box art. Then he plays them for about 15 minutes. Says it’s boring or too hard and then he quits.

Mario Kart
doesn't matter which one, he will play any from 64 to the newest one

He played Tekken 5 and Tekken 6 on PSP daily until it completely broke.
He plays HoMM 3 daily. Used to play AoE 2 and CS:CZ too.

>plays them for about 15 minutes. Says it’s boring or too hard and then he quits.
your dad is Yea Forums

I got into Gran Turismo, Ace Combat, and Splinter Cell because of my dad. I think he has pretty good taste, but he says GT2 is the best game ever made and he could play it forever.

Based.

Attached: 5121EZHPNGL._SX342_.jpg (342x342, 27K)

Berserk. He also likes the occasional party game.

My dad plays Civ and flight sim games.

Railroad Tycoon 2
He just plays the Australia map over and over, sometimes for hours on end. And then he just restarts it again
I don't get it but he seems to like it

Attached: Railroadtyccon_screenshot.jpg (365x273, 26K)

Do you guys ever think about the idea that if you ever have a kid, will they wonder what you played in your youth and will they respect you or think you're a faggot?

Some browser shit. It's sad, he used to love platformers, but he doesn't even play the ones I installed on his PC.

My father helped me learn basic english before school by helping me play Final Fantasy VII, but for himself, he loved to death Hogs of War and CTR.
Got him a copy of Nitro Fueled for his birthday during the summer and he's loving it.

The only vidya i recall my dad has played is wii sports

GTA V on ps3
Fucking normie

Call of Duty 1,2,Modern Warfare and Black Ops

Dook Nookem
Doom
Need for Speed III
Typical dad shit.

Attached: 1342406031456.jpg (500x375, 21K)

This is more closer to my mother: she loves to death Age of Empires II and yet she plays the same map with the same civilization (bizantines) constantly on loop.

Attached: CC.png (1024x664, 837K)

>Cabela’s Big Game Hunter? Looks good.
>What the hell’s this tutorial shit? I want to shoot some bears.
>Why don’t you try it, son?

ITT: Zoomers with Gen X aged dads

Rick Dangerous

my dad spent hundreds of dollars on warface because he's an idiot

Seiken densetsu 3
I'm so happy about the remake into trials of mana, so far its looks great. Specially good knowing the mana series has been revived

Attached: header.jpg (460x215, 57K)

Literally my father, but with britons.

He likes Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunt, Medal of Honor, and GUN

Spawning another poor soul just to share suffering with someone? Hell naw.

Attached: 51BH9RG9A4L._SY450_.jpg (423x450, 30K)

Maybe she wants Constantinople to be retaken for Greece

Can't be more wrong. My dad's first PC had tape for storage.

Working. He doesn't give a damn about vidya, my mom does tho.

Good times.

Attached: 9200000057597374.jpg (550x564, 45K)

Age of Empires is all he fucking plays

I'm with you and your father, user. I can't be thankful enough that series like Mana and SaGa are getting revived with official localised re-releases and remakes. If you told me that in 2010 i would have laughed in your face.

solitaire
i've literally never seen him play anything else

Fallout 76.
I try to get him to stop but nothing works.

Rayman. And this game we had for the ps1 where you pilot a helicopter and blow up communists

Probably Red Dead 2 since he's done everything possible he could offline and still plays it.

Only thing he can't do is get honor because he always kills people

>mom brought home wii fit because she fell for the marketing
>forces dad to engage
>audible "Oh!" noise coming from the balance board as he steps on it
>calls him a couch potato
>mfw wii fit bullied my dad

If going a generation higher is fine, my grandpa was a flight simulator autist. He sunk ridiculous amount of money into joysticks and other accessories already in 90s. He also liked some other games, such as Caesar series and Battlezone.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors, we played it together once and it is one of my fondest memories

Attached: 51OyomwsXLL.jpg (500x338, 57K)

Crash Bandicoot 2. I remember being a tiny little kid and watching him lay back on our shitty couch and chuckling whenever Crash died. He fucking loved Crash, and when I got tired of watching and told him I wanted to play, he was ecstatic to show me how to play and helped eme a lot. I remember he couldn't hear the character's voices very well, so when I asked him who the boss he was fighting (N. Gin) was, he made up a name and said his name was Jimbob. I still call him Jimbob sometimes.
Back when N. Sane Trilogy came out we played the remade Crash 2 together, him struggling on account of getting old and all that. We had a hell of a time, and us re-experiencing Crash together is one of my favorite memories of him. I love my dad.

he likes RTS games and tabletop RPGs

Most of 76's population is stoners and Dads and I have no clue as to why.
t. active 76 player here ;_;

Your father has excellent taste. This game is among one of the best ever made.

Galaga

that's some real dadcore

Also SNES Mario Kart and any variation of Wheel of Fortune. Currently an older man who plays slot machines on his tablet.

Attached: MV5BOWM1NjFhZDQtOGU5MC00MjBkLTk1ZWUtZGFkNTkyODllNjAzXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMzM4MjM0Nzg@._V1_UY268_CR3,0,182 (182x268, 17K)

Call of Duty Modern Warfare

He's been playing that shit for fucking years he only plays with bots now. I try to get him into other shit but he's braindead.

Galaga
Asteroids
Pole position
Ms. Pac-man

My dad took me to the arcades a lot to appreciate arcade vidya. We played marvel vs capcom and tekken. Told me he'd flatten pennies on the railroad tracks for more credits and got the neighborhood score for galaga. Pretty neat
I think the last console game played was Dk64 cause he's a dad and dads like donkey kong.

my dads been seeming more and more stressed out lately so I've been hanging out with him more and I got him rayman legends and portal 2 as introductory games since he's never played them much. almost every night we make time to sit together and he plays those for an hour or so while I help him out if he needs it. he likes them a lot but also always thanks me for playing with him afterwards.

A (you) to let you know I appreciated that one

Speak for yourself emofag
Life's hard sometimes but I'm generally enjoying it

My dad played a lot of Super Mario Bros All Stars with me and helped me beat Super Star Wars before my parents got divorced in 1999. He never played anything after that. I think he just liked helping me and my brother out.

Star Fox on the SNES.

My dad played DOOM with a flight stick

Get out of the greenhouse. Better do it by your own volition.

FGgot ass weeb

Skyrim/BotW/Borderlands
He loves exploring.

My kid will respect me because I know I'll be a good parent.

Turok 1 &2
MoH: Allied Assault and expansions.

Generic Facebook casino slots games

My dad's in his late 60s and is the sort that thinks all games are shallow entertainment for children and refuses to even attempt to engage with any because he's determined to hate them.

Attached: 1459426944632.jpg (229x250, 9K)

Shouldn't that choice be the kid's?
As long as you do your best to give them a good life, the choice would be theirs

He still plays it from time to time

Attached: Hexen.png (320x240, 26K)

Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine and Ridge Racer. Those are the only two games he ever stopped watching History Channel to play.

My dad loves Burgertime.

Attached: burger-time-05.png (640x480, 8K)

My dad loved dead rising 1,2 and the gears series. He stopped at 3 though.
Way before that it was ghosts n goblins, castlevania, contra, ultima, and so on as he got the nes when it first dropped

He refuses to play anyone but the Spartans.

Attached: Alpha_Centauri_cover.jpg (220x278, 14K)

Ms. Pac Man. Whenever we found a cabinet while traveling or whatever he'd always play a few rounds.
Also he probably put 100 hours into my copy of Guitar Hero 3 but he was so bad at it. He'd do okay, get to a hard part, get flustered and then just shut down and miss everything.

My dad actually raised me on vidya cause he bought himself an NES before I was born, I suspect he was an arcadefag as a kid. My first game was Sesame Street 123 while my dad played Mario and Duck Hunt. Then the N64 rolled around and we started renting random shit, a couple of his favs were Armorines Project SWARM and Dark Rift

Are you Gene Belcher?

Attached: 2ASA04_Sq36.jpg (653x367, 192K)

Settlers.

my dad played x-wing years before I was born
that's it, I never saw him play a video game in my life
he was born in '62 and died in '07

Sonic 2
Altered Beast
Golden Axe
Streets of Rage 2
Smuggler's Run
he used to be really into Everquest which he then transitioned to WoW when it first came out

Attached: 1509123344777.jpg (213x194, 21K)

He said he played pong once and he found it stupid. I think I've seen him playing wordfeud once. I managed to get him to play vigilante 8 one time when I was still a wee lad, but he found it stupid after a few minutes of playing and never wanted to play vidya with me again. That's about it.

Attached: 2012-06-20-1340149497542.gif (192x224, 25K)

I don't know but the fucker bought xenoblade x collector's edition for Wii u

Sounds like your dad is a shitter, he probably wanted to git gud as a kid in the arcades but he sucked

Did he molest you?

Arkanoid

No, he wasn't particularly abusive, rather just the kind of father that stopped showing any interest in his kids when they both became computer nerds instead of sports players and they didn't like the music he liked, and so the relationship between parent and child never grew and they barely talk now that they no longer live in the same house.

Attached: 1314803208283.jpg (500x475, 23K)

You faggots have some based dads.

Attached: 1408720803850.png (858x751, 271K)

He isn't big on games, but he was pretty impressed by Forza

Street Fighter Third Strike. My dad still battles people at arcade's and whoops em on street fighter. I was never able to get into fighting games like him.

Attached: 1546441510343.jpg (724x1024, 81K)

Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot 2, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Silent Hill 4.

That makes a lot of sense, but he never wanted to talk about it. In his opinion video games are a waste of time when you could do sports instead, which he is pretty good at.

Well he might just be one of those /out/ dads who thinks vidya is lethargic and slothful

age of empires 3
it was the only game he played for years

Patience

>Implying he's touched a video game in his life

Attached: 1546617957290.jpg (400x551, 77K)

Abe's Oddysee. He's barely touched vidya since.

Twisted metal black. My dad played it with me back when I was 6

Attached: Munch.gif (420x248, 26K)

That's unfortunate user, I'm sorry your dad is like that.

CoD 1 and 2 were his favorite. He also likes world of tanks. He had a stroke a few years ago so its harder for him to play. I moved out of state so I don't get to see him. Typing this out made me feel sad.

Spellforce 1, actually replaying it with him.

Attached: ujhgfdhgf.jpg (319x445, 38K)

If I asked him, he'd probably say the Mass Effect games. But over the years I've mostly seen him return to Diablo or Command and Conquer: Red Alert.

He has a collection of dusty old games sitting in his office that probably haven't been touched in over 20 years, games that wouldn't run without some effort finding the right patch/program or whatever like DOSBox. Told him about GOG the other day and he seemed really excited to check it out, mostly over things like Hocus Pocus surprisingly. Randomly asked if they had Guild Wars as well, apparently he was sad he quit because someone 'hacked' his account.

Didn't have the heart to tell him that I think that might have just been me trading off his stuff so I could buy armor dyes or some stupid shit like that.

I played the shit out of the shareware version of hocus pocus when I was a kid. I don't blame him. The game is also on steam if you prefer that platform.
You are really lucky if your dad had time to play guild wars with you, that sounds really sweet, even if you stole his stuff.

Call your dad anons

Zuma

I cant call the dead.

Probably Overwatch or Horizon

>What is your dad's favorite vidya?
He never played any video games and threatened to beat my ass if he caught me playing them after a certain hour.

Straight nothing. My dad, to my knowledge, hasn't played anything and he doesn't care to. He needs projects to do, he says he feels like shit if he's not working on the house or his work. Why would he ever sit down for hours and play a game when that's daylight being burnt that could be spent doing anything else?
I thought this was normal, do other people really have dads that play video games?

Attached: 1517821221107 2.gif (340x192, 2.92M)

Bayformers is better than Harold and Maude.

I would but he's at work. I'll probably call my parents this weekend.
This makes me sad.

>What is your dad's favorite vidya?
I think it's a tie between Max Payne and Tri-Peaks Solitaire

Galaga
Pretty much every mainline Mario from SMB through SM64
Tekken 3 & Tag (Xiaoyu & Bruce main)
He sold a lot of the vidya he had before I was old enough to play anything for the sake of saving space and getting some cash, but what he kept and gave me was an NES with SMB2/SMB3/Castlevania II, a Genesis with Sonic 2, Primal Rage, & Boogerman, and a PS1 with Gauntlet Legends and the first two Tomb Raiders. I suppose he must've been really into those.

Attached: 1564939133907.gif (300x240, 1.67M)

I should probably ask him sometime, but I'm at least pretty sure his favorite game is either Soul Reaver or Armored Core.

My dad used to play a fuckton of Doom and Unreal Tournament. Think he once said that the original Doom is his favourite game, but he hasn't played in a long time to my knowledge,

>be 6
>dad hates games but mom convinces him to give them another shot with me
>he asks me if he can play with me and I say sure while handing him a nes controller
>turns out were playing Battletoads
>can tell he is struggling
>in my annoying 6 year old voice I tell him he's playing wrong and he isn't good
>he throws the controller down and tells me to never ask him to play games again
>fast forward to being 34 and we barely even talk or see eachother
>never ask him for anything but anytime I check on him he assumes I want something

Besides watching Jackie Chan movies growing up we never really had a relationship and all because I tried to get him to play Battletoads.

The only game I heard of him playing was a Space Invaders cabinet in the pub back in the 80's.

Attached: 1560876807491.png (648x905, 106K)

he likes mostly racing games and GTA. with some shooters on the side plus some RE and DMC.

t. Big Hoss

Pong, he had a bootleg Atari

Your dad sounds like a sheltered sportfag who can't handle being bad at something.

This
My dad and I used to pass the controller around and try to beat each other's score on Galaga on the Namco Museum.
I miss him

Kid Icarus

My father literally has never played a video game in his life because I'm not a zoomie

It was CIV III.

Skyrim, probably. He likes Forza, too.

He used to play Gran Turismo 4 a lot back in the day. A year ago he played Ratchet & Clank 1 through a couple of times after years of not playing anything.

I worry about him somtimes

Attached: 6457901.jpg (600x600, 109K)

Your dad is a man of superb taste.

Attached: 1544903398146.jpg (604x1080, 141K)

funny thing, my dad is the one that introduced me to a few games
He beat Darkest dungeon, and then got a copy for me to play trough
