I could never for the life of me be explained what's the difference between all the "plus" and "magic" versions.

If your Cinemex/Cinepolis carries arcade machines, chances are they have a KoF available. And this isn't even taking into account general stores or self service laundries.
Arcade centers might not be a thing anymore, sure, but that doesn't mean KoF and arcade machines themselves aren't prevalent as fuck in Mexico.
