I wanted to play Super Metroid

Post the games list.

if they release all the good games at launch, there won't be any to look forward to.

Based

Have I misunderstood how this service works? I thought I remembered hearing that you get like two a month and then after that month they're not playable anymore, but it sounds like these SNES games will not ever go away.

They never go away. They just add more every few months.

fpbp

They just add new games every month, though they have said that they will not release monthly anymore. They will probably just release 10-20 new SNES games per direct instead.

That's not how it works. You get all of them and the library gets added onto (it used to be two NES games added a month but now there's no specific schedule. Probably because they ran out of NES games)

you keep the games so long as you have a NSO subscription, and you can play them for a little while without subscription (I think like a week before it requires you to login with NSO again)

2 new games when?
Earthbound when?

fpbp
It's also an opportunity for me to give some of the other games second chances, even if they're only ok
Umihara Kawase when

>No fucking harvest moon
They blew it

If someone were to subscribe now, do they have the whole backlog available to them, or is that only if you were subscribed in the months when each set of games were added?

Ive had the entire SNES library, including Japanese only games and weird shit like hentai mahjong, on my pc for like 15 years

I’m playing this game for the first time blind and it’s great. It’s easy or whatever but very charming and I could see it being more interesting gameplay wise down the road or something maybe.

whole backlog

>I thought I remembered hearing that you get like two a month and then after that month they're not playable anymore
That's how it was when they originally announced it. They got so much backlash for it, they never brought it up again until the service finally launched and they made them all permanently available as long as you have your online subscription.

Yes you get everything, it isnt like the PSN games for gold service where its timed.

Because zoomers absolutely love paying for emulation.

>It’s easy
Are you going for 100 points on every level?

>every game except for Super Metroid sucks

>play online with one other person
>they fucking suck at mario kart
>while playing with 2 people online you can control a pointer like the og wii with the right stick
>if you click the right stick the pointer claps
>clap every time my friend doesnt get top 4

Delightfully devilish user.

No because I assumed that would ruin the relaxing experience I’m having with it and would be more tedious than genuinely challenging. I’ve gotten like 95, 100, 96 on every mission so far though. Keep in mind that is a potential retort to people calling it a baby game in the first place; I don’t want challenge from the game as much as I’d want more depth if that makes sense.

Getting 100 points on each level is not hard.

Obtaining 100 points on each level only gets hard when you do the secret levels

user that sparked the discussion here. I skipped the ??? levels for the moment but obviously I plan on coming back to them. Again keep in mind I’m playing the game from a genuinely blind perspective as well. I usually don’t care for 100% completions unless it’s actually meaningful so I will keep what you said in mind.

imagine having never played this masterpiece

You can play Online
holy shit
maybe I should finally consider pay for online

>no Donkey Kong
what is even the point?
>Joe & Mac 2
the sequel was trash, why is there only the second one?

Puyo Puyo 2 is the best Puyo game desu. Gets down to business with a simple but addicting Solo that I could play for hours on end.

>You can play Online
Only with friends. There is no matchmaking.

>>no Donkey Kong
>what is even the point?
Obviously they're saving some shit to release down the line.

I wuv Stunt Race FX.

Probably because 2's multiplayer is superior and some of the titles are only there because of the potential to make players have fun online at the same time.

Why did they stop making Pilotwings games?

There was another pilotwing game 8 years ago on 3ds

i am starting to think they are holding off on mother 1 and earthbound for a collection with mother 3 but dont quote me on this

Attached: 1540912022918.jpg (1609x2048, 599K)

fpbp, been playing nothing elsesince it came out.

t. someone who never played Demon's Crest

That’s completely wrong faggot. Almost every game on the list is a 10/10

>10-20 new SNES games per direct instead.
Imagine being this delusional

How do I even beat the first enemy

most SNES games that were fucking amazing besides the ones they already released aren't first party games, so they won't be in the collection

>Goof Troop online

Attached: 1322784597002.jpg (400x299, 15K)

The undead dragon guy? Shoot its head until it dies

Why? It would incentivize more people to sign up and they could make more curated choices of what SNES games to feature.

>Terranigma
>Secret of Mana
>Secret of Evermore
>Megaman X

WHEN

Going for 100 ruins the experience, some of the later levels are fucking cancer 100. The GBA is far worse though since you can't see red coins at all and you have to deal with screen crunch.

>Thinking Disney is going to release their good games anytime soon

They just pulled Ducktales and the "Afternoon Collection" is JUST a handful of the NES games

Brawls Brothers is amazing, fuck you.

Give me tetris attack and I won't care if the rest is shit

>Konami
Never. They're only releasing first party games. All they have left really is Donkey Kong and Earthbound.

One thing that I learn about Yea Forums is that 90% of you are just too demanding. Nintendo can't have all the old 3rd part SNES games up there

At least 7 of the games added are 3rd party games

I can't remember correctly but the extra levels only unlock after getting 100 on each world. They changed that on the advance port and you could get them the same way or after beating the last world but they also added a second extra level for each world for it as well which needed 100

Tetris Atack is my favorite version of the Panel de pon. The speed is perfect and it has one more block type than later versions, which is essential to avoid "accidental" combos.
The only problem with a Switch version is that it wouldn't be possible to play on the keyboard (I think), which, at least for me, is essential to being fast enough to do full-screen combos.

Based on what we got on the nes, we won't be getting any major 3rd parties except for maybe a few exceptions. Nintendo's line-up is much smaller this time around too, so they can't just pull shitty games they made like they did with the nes, we already have most of their library too. I'd honestly expect maybe 5 new games at a time.

t. zoomer who never owned a super nintendo when it came out

cope

>Only with friends. There is no matchmaking.
Fucking hell.

Never ever since they already released the Contra collection

Honestly since Nintendo is very painfully aware of piracy, and that everyone and their brother can just go get the no-intro sets off of archive.org, AND that all these third parties are just releasing shit on their own like the Mega Man and Contra collections..

It's safe to say Nintendo is going to vet their choices a lot better than how they handled the virtual console. I mean for fucks sake just LOOK at the SNES list, they came out guns blazing.

>The only way to like SNES is because of nostalgia
Thanks for confirming

>just LOOK at the SNES list, they came out guns blazing
Credit to them for that, but there's not an awful lot left. I'm sure we'll get everything that was on the SNES mini, but will that last a year?

>tfw the best Joe and Mac is not even a Joe and Mac
This game was such a fucking gem

Attached: file.png (240x210, 112K)

Dude until you've beaten 20 SNES games you don't have a right to bitch about the selection

DEMON'S CREST IS GOOD

Reckon I beat more than 20 SNES games the first time around desu

its trash

not everyone is a sour faggot like you

DKC2 was the only good thing you posted

Earthbound was the only good thing you posted

>dragon quest or final fantasy
lmao, you're a fool if you think square will deal those games with nintendo if they can resell their shitty phone ports for eternity

I will rape you harvest moon is fucking kino

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT

Zelda,Star Fox, Demons Crest, SMW

having shit taste isn’t an excuse

My fucking body is ready, I have trained my whole life to finally beat this fucken game

>link to the past

>pal version
good luck buddy I'm sure one day you'll be it

>excited about emulators in 2019

you could do this shit decades ago.

based and crestpilled

They are already re-releasing DQ I-III and will probably do the same with DQ V-VI and FF.
The problem with the service is, that publishers now that they can sell the good games as some sort of remaster and people will buy it, so you just end up with first-party titles and trash.

Super Mario Kart
Super Soccer
Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
Demon’s Crest
Yoshi’s Island
Stunt Race FX
Kirby’s Dream Course
Pop’n Twinbee
Star Fox
Contra 3
Kirby Super Star
Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
Kirby’s Dream Land 3
Super Metroid
Super Mario World
Pilotwings
F-ZERO
Star Fox 2
Super Punch-Out!!
The Legend of the Mystical Ninja
Super Mario All-Stars
Breath of Fire 2

This is the data from the supposed datamine prior to SNES games actually being added, no?
I mean it's not the same, but isn't it close enough that the leak might have been legit? Weird seeing BoF2 instead of BoF1 and SF2 instead of SF1 though.
Then again, maybe the leak was just bullshit and copied the Classic/Mini editions. But if that's the case how come it's missing Donkey Kong and Mario RPG etc?

Was the datamine legitimate?

>good games as some sort of remaster and people will buy it
it amazing me people bought those god awful FF mobile remasters

who the fuck is buying this shit

>dedicated clapping button

Attached: cute anime girl clapping.gif (233x592, 201K)

this
Super Metroid is good but it's far from the best SNES game

>Weird seeing BoF2 instead of BoF1
one word for you senpai KATT besides 2 is better in all regards

Attached: 4373458956.jpg (1024x1024, 424K)

Because OMG I CAN BUY ALTTP & SMW AGAIN! I mean, I know I already bought them before for Wii and Wii U but now I can play it on my SWITCH! I gotta KEEP UP WITH THE TIMES

How many fucking times are nintendies going to buy the same games?

I mean the weird thing is how the list is close but still not quite what we got.
We will get BoF2 in an update though, right?

The way they stated that they're no longer bothering with regular updates kind of trashes my expectations though. In my mind that statement translates to "we'll do fewer updates".

I WISH I could buy these games on the Switch. Fuck this rental bullshit. Let me BUY them! Let me! I'll pay for it again. I'll fucking do it.
Put a fee up to detach the games from this awful rental service and I'll do it but they aren't letting me! Don't they want my money!?

>Super Mario All-Stars
That'd be kind of weird. I mean, what would even be the point?

Disgusting

>No star fox 2

BUY THE SNES CLASSIC GOYIM!

>can’t into F-Zero
i’ve been playing it almost exclusively and when i’ve had my fill it’s on to the next best thing, Demon’s Crest

tap accelerate when you're cornering

>but there's not an awful lot left
For first party games? Maybe. For third party games there's a shitload of good options.

cant wait to gt the OG SNES translation for BoF2

While not good, I never really understood what was meant to be so oh so truly unacceptable about the localization. Like yeah it's not that good but it's still better than like practically all the Final Fantasy localizations of the era.

Or was there something major that I am just somehow forgetting for whatever the reason?

Tetris Attack / Panel de Pon
Chrono Trigger
Mario RPG
Donkey Kong 3

If only we get this and I'd be extremely happy. I really hate that we can't just buy the games though.

>DKC3
Based patrician user

>Super Soccer
>Super Tennis
What's the fucking point?
Nobody likes these

Fuck, I used to play this alone on emulator
now playing it with my bf would be great
also hope they add Terranigma, one of the best ARPGs ever made

Super tennis is good craic as doubles

There was no real hype, only sòy hype. You can already emulate the entire snes library on a potato for free

>Mana
>Megaman
Never ever. Square and Capcom would rather bundle those in their own retro collections and actually make money off of them, rather than have Ninty give them away for free

>SNES Star Fox
oh nonononono

>Tetris Attack
maybe, but NES online didn't even get NEStris.
>Chrono Trigger
Never, Square can sell it separately.
>Mario RPG
God I wish.
>DK3
Inevitable

>Demon's Crest
fucking based

Obviously Nintendo would have to pay them, retard.

>Brawl Brothers japanese version code doesn't work

Fucking trash

20 bucks a year is probably less than I'd want to spend on actually buying the SNES games directly anyway. I much prefer this.

Fair enough, but given that Square and Capcom currently already sell their own Mana and Megaman bundles on the eShop themselves, what incentive do they even have to let Nintendo put them on the subscription? Nintendo can pay them, but they'd rather have us pay them.

Attached: 91RcZqeKwcL._AC_SL1500_.jpg (1500x844, 392K)

>Never, Square can sell it separately.
And I'd welcome them to. Why haven't they done so already?

The physical version is itself limited?

I hope E.V.O gets a rerelease someday
