i dislike that game

the ending was shit

It resorts to using motion controls when so many buttons on the controller are used for nothing.

It’s too short

Its real fucking good

If you so much as farted you got a moon.

As unironically awesome as Jump Up, Superstar is, this game's soundtrack is collectively the worst of all the 3D Marios.

It ends.

It ends... Seriously greatest game ever

Too easy, you need to complete the story first to fully unlock the kingdoms, some moons are repetitive (ground pound here), music isn't as memorable as other Mario games.

-Capture isn't as good as power-ups
-World structure pales compared to Galaxy and 64 because events can't be replayed (rain in New Donk is only for a designated area after the first visit)
-No extra adventure where you play Peach and Tiara capturing things.

Some of the worlds you visit weren't large enough to feel like you could explore them. Cascade Falls in particular. But then the Ruined Kingdom was literally just a boss fight and it felt like it could have been so, so much more.

Two fairly similar water worlds was a little lame and the performance could be better.

Its a Mario game

something bad about this game

You can't play as Luigi.

The level design was pretty dissapointingly easy and simple. Other than that great game.

Movement is still inferior to Sunshine. The Cap tricks are good initially, until you realize that everything devolves into Triple Jump > Throw > Dive Bounce > Throw > Dive. Moons get repetitive as well, and grinding coins to reach 999 at the end isn't fun.

Not challenging. I don't like playing kid's games that basically play themselves.

Herding sheep and planting seeds is not fun.

It's not Breath of the Wild.

Filler moons out the arse, no challenge for advanced players, it's no masterpiece and not worth standing up and clapping once the credits rolled.

someone post that image of the moves they didn't keep from mario 64

it was ridiculously easy short and underwhelming
i instantly forgot that it even existet

there should be actual challenges based around high-level play instead of just high level play being a way to completely circumvent the tedious normal way you're supposed to do things

too many bland or shitty kingdoms
Not enough challenge

A lot of the moons are blatantly shit filler. Could've done with 1/3rd as many moons but have all of them be meaningfully designed.

something bad about this game

Some of the ways you get Moons are very anti-fun, as in they feel too repetitious and boring.

Not memorable as 64

The discrepancy between Mario's Speed & Versatility against the slow, one trick pony nature of most if not all captures makes the whole concept of captures pretty bad. I'm of the opinion that the best powerups in Mario are strictly additive to Mario's already well oiled arsenal, but that has to come with good level design.
Cappy Dive & the honorary Double Jump it grants trivialises the game beyond belief for a game that already didn't have stellar level design, though it can be argued it wasn't it's focus or intent for most of the adventure.

it’s no masterpiece

I was Cloud Kingdom and Ruined Kingdom's were bigger and some of the Moons were lame

Stars that costs coins.

It was boring

Better than BOTW

Costumes are too expensive and you can just buy moons to progrrss. It is also bullshit that Toadette does not give you all your achievement moons at one and you will instead need to click through tge same text 40-something times to get them all.

Too easy

It has the best movement and the best move sets of any 3d platformer but never actually challenges you to use them to their fullest. It is a criminally piss easy game.

Unironically too much content, like Dynasty Warriors. Most of the moons outside of the main story are filler garbage, and getting costumes requires too much farming. Endgame should've been more streamlined.
It's a great game otherwise.

That FUCKING jump-rope moon. Made me quit the game.

Any of it's motion control parts suck ass, and too many of the hat possessions are either underutilized or useless.

Luigi still isn't real.
