It's a decent metroidvania. Not the best, not the worst. I'd wait till it's like 15 bucks or lower. The only really standout things about it are the artstyle, which is fucking gorgeous, and the setting which is pretty unique as far as vidya goes.

I'm playing the game and I have no idea what the clunkiness is supposed to refer to. The only thing that bothers me is that it's too easy to grab to ledges accidentally.

In my opinion, it's not nearly as bad as people are making it out to be. I do wish it was more fluid and a little less floaty, but it works for what the game is. There are a few frustrating parts due to the game having instakill spikes/pits, but I don't think it's enough to take a bunch of points from the game.

But that was just another phase, not at all superior to any of its alternative phases. It was not holy, it was not something to be protected, it was not valuable. It was just a phase; according to its own views, arbitrary.
