As an unironic fan of Space Invaders, an Invader would probably be a really lame character but a Space Invaders STAGE would be hype as shit. Imagine trying to fight on top of the fleet while they’re invading and the Tank is shooting upwards. Mix in the crazier elements from '91, Extreme, Get Even, Infinity Gene and shit would be so cash

I cannot understand why would someone with a brain want a character you can't see in the entire games since it's a FPS. And even if you were able to see him he is in a fucking suit. Samus' one is hugely recognizable and has numerous cool skills, but doomguy? Really?

I can't understand why you think such a petty autistic grievance matters. The Doomguy has been shown in the third person plenty of times and his face is in the middle of the HUD the entire game.

The one issue with him I've heard is that DOOM can't be publically advertised in japan because of it's age rating. Which might make revealing him a bitch over there. Even if they pull a Joker and reveal him at an american event, it'd be hard to do Sakurai's overview of the character in a direct or something.
Here's hoping Nintendo knows how to work with that for this character.
