1. If it's a fighting game and you feel comfortable with the moveset and style of the character.
2. The protagonist is a female. For example, Tomb Raider and Mirror's Edge.
3. The specific class you prefer playing as uses a female.
Other than that, the only reason why a man would want to play as a woman is because he's gay or he's in the closet, no matter how much he denies it.
