Played since 2010, quit a few years back. Everyone still playing hates the game and only plays it out of habit/as a job. Even hugbox "no negativity" communities like reddit are very vocal about how tired they are of it.

It's usually a sign that the champ isn't that good, Riot usually makes skins for fan favorite champs which most of the time are meta champs.

This has always bugged me. Of course characters with newer, fancier skins are going to get played more. Due to popularity they'll be balanced around, due to balancing they'll be played more, due to being played more they'll get more skins, and due to more skins they'll be popular. It's a cycle that can only be broken by unbiased devs who make skins for everyone and balance around each champion rather than a currently popular meta.

An overall bad time. The game was good 5-6 years ago when there was a decent champion pool, customizable builds, and a respectable balance point. Now the game is all about who has the most “1-shot” champions on their team with each new champion release being more broken than the last. If you’re into competitive modes you’re out of luck in this game, as the higher up you get, the game places you STRATEGICALLY with worse teammates than your opponents forcing you to either carry the game or lose. Most games are usually decided within the first 10 minutes on whether or not 3 lanes are losing. I just recently had to uninstall because ranked made me so angry, yet I would force myself to play another one after I lost.

My advice would be to level up high enough to play draft, the other game-modes aside from ARAM are autistic, and draft is the only realistic game-mode to have decent matches. Play for 10 levels to find a lane you prefer, and if you enjoy it then you might as well play ranked as you generally play vs better opponents than in norms. People say the MMR is different from norms than ranked, but I think that’s all horseshit. GL and try not to break your keyboard in the process.

Being a fed adc/support doesnt matter because a midlaner with 1 item will oneshot you.
Mid or feed is prominant in every good region for a reason, its the only lane that matters.
