Also the in my honest opinion, the flashy, highllighty and futuristic UI is at complete odds with what Kojima is going for. Every man made material should be made from an eye catching material (like black metal or w/e), and every time someone builds something (a bridge, sign, leaves a bike, w/e' it should just be immediately clear someones been here and that's it. Not knowing a thing about the person whos come before is pretty cool, but when you know it's just so hard to care about, especially when you're doing it for likes. Still a conceptually interesting game.

The idea of players putting shit in the map is great, but how you interact with them, you as a player seems lack luster.
You do a lot of basic shit in the game but doesn't seem to feel rewarding or interesting.
Combat and stealth hasn't shown any creative or interesting options, is too simplified compared to MGSV. i wouldnt call it bad but underwhelming.

Wandering around in V was terrible.In between outposts there was nothing, not even pretty environments. You could gather plants, minerals and that's it. Then the overwhelmingly majority of the outposts were copy-pasted and very tiny, with the exception of the big ones for major missions
This is like the opposite. They gave meaning to open world exploration, but gameplay and fps (stream might have been choppy) really took a backseat

As long as there's enough variation, it should be great.

MGS V wasn't fine, it was OK for the first few hours and then got really tedious going around and always doing the same shit to get past the enemy checkpoints, it shoul have been multiple hub missions ala ground zeroes. This game hopefully looks less linear than MGSV but it looks pretty empty, tho I sincerely hope it's just kojima not wanting to show too much of the game

I don't know. I was hoping to see some cool stuff but most of the gameplay was walking around, plus some stealth and combat against yellow guys. The most tedious parts to look at were the weird as fuck jumps and the movement. I was let down, and it didn't look like a game you'd have your fun with... More like a chore to play with.

If MGSV got expanded to a full blown mil sim, it would be one of the best games ever, but sadly, it's limited by the fact that it's an MGS game, and thus, it needs plot, and cutscenes and boss fights, which clearly do not fit MGSV.

No, they didn't, MGS games have always been the poorest stealth games ever developed, and I firmly believe that Kojipro has no actual talent in it.
Every game made by Kojipro was either half cutscenes half clunky gameplay, or it was a grindfest, or it was an empty open world or it was simply cancelled.

I don't think the people who made any MGS games are capable of making an actual fun videogame.
It's why, if any other MGS was made, I would only be interested if it was made by different people who focused on making a proper videogame, and not some movie.

I don't think I follow. Regardless of opinion, I think it's basically the same as MGSV in terms of wandering around, especially if you have no vehicle. If we can get consistent/permanent vehicles in Death Stranding, I think it would be exactly MGSV but with a bigger map maybe.
