I didnt buy a ps4 until last year. I got the pro for the price of a base ps4 and my friend let me borrow his entire collection, which I've had now for a year. For $300, I've gotten a lot of use out of this bad boy. It's my personal media station in my living room. I'll say it once and I'll say it again, always wait a few years to buy a console. By that time you can get the faster/slimmer/cooler looking one and a huge library of games. Buying a console at launch is just stupid and people wanting something new and shiny.

That's particularly fucking embarrassing for Snoy because they essentially handed out free PS4s on Black Friday and arguably had their best year for games (My Wife's Son won GOTY even). On the flip side, the Switch had nothing all year until Smash, which released the last 2 weeks on 2018. A single video game caused the Switch to beat the PS4, mostly within that last month.
