A game first person dungeon crawler called Paper Sorcerer came with two classes which were only given to backers of the Kickstarter, the Succubus and the Dryad. I didn't get the game until after the kickstarter was over, and now there is no possible way to get those two characters, legally or illegally.
When I found out about that, it really drained my enthusiasm to keep playing.

I knew someone would post this. It's not that easy. That guide lets you switch their name and portrait, and with some more effort their starting skills and stats, but not their growth rates or skills learned on level up.
You would have to manually edit their stats and skills every time they level up to make them stay consistent with how they're supposed to be, but there's no record online which shows those classes stats per level.
