Swat 4.
It feels much more immersive and in the moment, doing non-lethal runs is fun.
I want to enjoy raven shield more, I love the idea of the tactical map, but I can never get the ai to do what I want them to do. Used to play it with my friends back in the day though, so I guess the multiplayer is where it really shined

Swat 4 with SEF mod is enjoyable, although AI is kinda dated

I enjoyed Raven Shield more, putting together an international team was always really fun and cool to do.

non lethal is fucking boring
>spasm out and shoot everything with a pepperball gun
>spam F untill they drop their weapons
>repeat for the whole game

Ravenshield but I like Swat 4, both are good.

>still haven't added Ding Chavez to Siege

Fucking Goobysoft

It's for the better, this is siege we're talking about after all.

Well you can still spice it up a little, but you're right.
>gas grenade an entire room of terrorists and point a gun to their face while they're helpless
Still pretty satisfying

>helpless
except that 1 guy always has a gasmask

swat 4. fairfax is literally kino with its great x-files levels of comfy and tension. not to mention the multiplayer was alot of fun

what I never understood in raven shield is making the route plan: you can make the AI teams break in a room with breaching charges and flashbangs but not make them check if anyone is inside so there's a chance they'll just storm an empty room and alert enemies nearby, unless you remember each enemy's location

SWAT 4 because the AI in raven shield ruins the game, they just follow the route mindlessly

>tell the squad to throw a flashbang into the other room in planning stage
>it hits the wall and the squad flashbang themselves

SWAT 4, with the Stetchkov Syndicate expansion.

Yea Forums SWAT 4 or Raven Shield lobby WHEN

>non lethal is fucking boring
Use a mod that even non lethal can kill or injure hostages/criminals.

Rainbow Six > SWAT. There's a reason why one's a dead series and the other isn't

I have swat 4 but haven't touched it yet. Off gog. Any needed patches or shit?

Alive, but in name only. R6 became a console shooter, and now a hero shooter, it survives by adapting to current trends
Elite force mod has some qol improvements, it also merges the vanilla campaign with the expansion which I really like.
Otherwise no, nothing is needed in the gog version

They are both great franchises but R6 has the more BASED soundtrack.

Rainbow Six has always been on console

Ah, gotcha. But the point is still, the franchise changed, it became a cover shooter with tactical elements, and so on...
I'm not sure if that's better than just staying dead like swat
