Yes, she played some rpgs in her youth and got really excited when she saw me playing a f2p MMORPG on my computer when I was around 10 years old. She not only started playing MMORPGs, she started playing with me, and eventually my whole group of friends from school and the internet.

She even knew about Pokémon before it was a big thing over here and made sure to get a copy for us. She even bought a Mega Drive and a SNES for Christmas because she didn't know which was better and when she asked the people on the counter got into an argument about it and she had enough and bought both. Although, she would take away our vidya to make sure we studied as kids so I'd say for about 70% of the year when I was a kid I had no vidya.

These days she sometimes asks me what I'm playing if she hears it in the house and says that it must be nice to be a voice actor. Sometimes she'll tell me about what vidya the people on late night radio are talking about (since she's usually up at 4am) I tell her about anything interesting in vidya when I play a new one, recently told her about how GunValkyrie takes place on a planet called "Tir na nog" which shocked her as she never imagined a japanese person would know about something like that. I tell her about Kojima a lot since she finds him funny, and knows him by "that strange japanese man". She was also shocked to hear that "The best is yet to come" is in Gaelic and when I showed it to her she listened to the whole thing and told me that it was a very good song.
