I hope Vas, Zeta and Metera end up having a bit more going on, as it stands the cast seems basic even by basic fighter standards. Otherwise this is basically a beat'em up with a VS mode, in which case they better deliver an amazing one. I'm a bit worried we won't get real long stages, and it will just be the VS stages with 4 enemies dropped in. Need to have a lot of bosses as well. I'd ask for good netcode as well but that is one thing there is no point in holding my breath for.

Well in all fairness SFV biggest offence on launch was content, out of everything that probably hit it hardest though I have a theory that there wasn't much interest in a new SF, but that is another topic. GBV will deliver on that, but I agree that not having a big cast to really wow everyone is a big misstep. This is meant to please fans and gain new ones but limits the potential greatly.
They seem to be betting hard on visuals carrying it, when GG2020 has already blown it out the water. The visuals are great when you first see them but there is not much that really makes you go wow or oh shit that was so cool in a match. I'm hoping for a second beta where the is just a bit more freedom.

And no they're not new, they're just not officially announced yet so the art for them is their art in the gacha game rather than the art from the fighting game - they don't have text names because the names are pulled from the official site.
The only reason we know they're in the game is because their weapons are in the logo along with all of the other characters currently confirmed except Ladiva.
Their names are Metera, Vaseraga and Zeta respectively
