Not really, people have been saying since the beginning of this entire debate that Minecraft is best represented in a stage with destructible blocks and the various mobs in the background effecting the battle. Minecraft is about the world you create, not the character/skin that explores it. The player character has bare minimum animations because they don't matter, the character/skin doesn't matter, only the world you are exploring matters.
