Critics are going to hail this game, not as the best 3D game, nor the best 2D game, but the best game in the entire series PERIOD. Yes, even better than Mania
Zachary Cox
sonic fans are so fucking sad they're like battered spouses
Liam Wilson
You're just gonna have to take my word for it. They're not doing boostshit, they're using a fan-made engine.
Sonic Team hasn't known what they're doing since fucking Knuckles' Chaotix, and even when they do shit right they end up bogging the game down with unnecessary bullshit.
Do you really think Sonic Team, the people who made Forces and went on record saying that people like to go fast so that's why the levels are basically hold boost to win, is somehow going to turn around and make "the best game in the series"? Come on now.
Tyler Reed
Takashi Iizuka is wanting to give fans something great as to balance out the obvious flop of a movie.
Other than Iizuka, this new game isn't even being developed by the retards over at Sonic Team at all.
Chase Morris
Believe it or not, but Iizuka does care about the series. In fact, he was pretty apathetic about it for the longest time, until he played the Sonic Generations version of Chemical Plant Zone, where he fell in love with the series all over again.
Oliver James
then who is
Ayden Cook
Gee user, if I told you, I might have to cover it up before the secret is out.
Owen Baker
Bullshit
Adam Walker
Bullshit.
Chase Barnes
if there's a hint here I'm not getting it, sorry
Brayden Jones
I like Mania but it's not superior to Sonic 2, 3, Knuckles, or even CD.
It’s open world everyone go home and nap, op is a faggot
Caleb Cook
Utopia?
Kevin Morgan
Sonic's too far gone to ever become huge again. He'll never lose a core base of fans, but he's never going to be a big thing ever again.
Ryder Gray
I understand where you're coming from. This game isn't being developed by Sonic Team. Sure, their logo will appear as a pre-title splash-screen, but all they're doing is supervising. However, Iizuka is still the head of Sonic Team and has the ability to write over or outright reject certain ideas.
I know you're still full of shit, but there's just a little part of me that wants to believe you.
Tyler Phillips
Here's the thing, after being BTFO by a furfag and his drunken aussie buddy, the mixed reception of Forces, and the laughing stock that is the movie, Iizuka is pouring his blood, sweat and tears into this game in a desperate attempt to save Sonic's reputation, they know that if their next game is another shitter alongside an abhorrently shit movie, the brand will be pretty much unsalvageable. He's fucking pissed at Paramount for furthering the perception of Sonic as the laughing-stock of video games.
Iizuka fucking hates the movie and is pouring his soul into this project out of pure, unbridled wrath.
Oh, by the way, mini fun fact!: Takashi Iizuka and Yuji Naka are still bros, despite the fact that they work for different companies and Naka hating Sonic Team/Sega.
I have no clue. I only know what's going on solely with Sonic Team, because my gf's best friend happens to be Iizuka's niece. I know this sounds retarded, btw
Caleb Fisher
>dad works at Nintendo fine. I'll bite. What are they gonna do with Infinite? Will he be back or nah?

Anthony Green
congrats you've outed yourself to them
Elijah Morales
What, is he finally moving development to the American Sonic Team branch (which we all know is just him, Hoshino, Shiraishi, and the entire Evening Star staff at this point) like we've been told is happening so many times with nothing to show for it?
Also, do Yasuhara and Iizuka still talk? Ohshima and Naka may still offer advice from time to time, I'm sure of it, but without Yasuhara, the one key area of Sonic that needs improvement--level design--will never be as good as it was back then.
Juan Carter
don't lie to these good(?) people user
Dylan Watson
>What are they gonna do with Infinite? Will he be back or nah? Nah, he's done, at least for now. Just another Mephiles/Chip kind of thing. In fact, Iizuka dislikes the Phantom Ruby concept because it's rules make no goddamn sense whatsoever and is more or less a blatant deus-ex machina He also thinks Zavok is the most stupid, unnecessary villain in the series
Leo Edwards
>Iizuka thinks zavok is stupid >includes him all the time anyway but why. Is he that popular with barafags that excuses his addition in every recent game? Because, Infinite is just as popular with furries. Oh well. What about the OC maker? Gonna make a comeback or nah? Was a super popular feature after all. Any boost related stuff?
Caleb Scott
Iizuka had nothing to do with Forces, my man. He was too busy supervising Mrania's development.
She has a couple short segments in various cutscenes, but otherwise no. This personally upsets me, by the way. I need my big fat bat tats
Isaiah Cox
>So who is in? Sorry! I forgot to address this point. There's no new characters, but Sonic, Shadow, and Knuckles are all very important to the story. Eggman does some fucking down and dirty shit in this game, they want to make him seem legitimately evil and dangerous. You're not going to see silly goofball Eggman like you're used to at all in this--Archie Eggman makes for a great comparison. He's seriously a fucking bastard in this game and feels like an actual threat.
Henry Perry
Well, what is it?
Asher Evans
OP PLEASE DO YOU HAVE ANY INFO ABOUT PUYO PUYO I JUST WANT FEVER 3 ALREADY FUCK I'LL EVEN TAKE A RERELEASE OF FEVER 2
"Sonic's New Outlook" chapter 3 is out now, and I'm working with my co-author on "Sonic The Gloryhole-Hog" and its chapter 3.
Noah Martinez
leaker-kun, please tell me the game has no homing attack.
Camden Adams
If you're not Wentos then you need to fuck off with your RP shit
Colton Adams
>my dad works for Sega >I totally know Iizuka personally bro and he thinks all the same things YOU think about the series, despite the fact that it's ever reflected in the games at all, weird I know but dude trust me
Hmm.
This is wrong. He had a heavy hand in the Avatar's development, and it was mentioned in multiple interviews. Iizuka was not nearly as "hands off" with Forces as people make him out to be. I'm not sure why people push this narrative so much. Damage control maybe? It's not like he was solely responsible for the game anyway, so I don't see the point in denying his involvement.
>game is supposedly going to be hailed as the great comeback for Sonic >it has a focus on the story This alone is enough to discredit you, OP. You should've left that part vague. Everyone who isn't a Sonic fan won't give a shit about the story, and in fact they usually see it as more of a hindrance to the overall game than anything else. But more than that, super serious Eggman? Really? After Forces' more serious story and how that game flopped? I thought you said this game was to make up for Forces? You're not making any sense here user.
The more you say, the less believable this gets, and it wasn't very believable to begin with.
Considering how squirrely Sonic Team's 3D Sonic games tend to be control wise, why would you ever want that? You'd constantly be missing enemies by a mile. I agree that the homing attack chains substituting for real level design is a major problem, but the homing attack is a necessary evil at the moment.
Wentos was full of shit too. He admitted it years later. Sorry user, real leakers are few and far between, and for good reason. This guys is just larping. Let him have his fun, there are enough gullible retards here for him to keep the thread up for a while.
>why would you ever want that? you said it, it replaces level design with boring and uninspired attack chains. Most good 3D platformers have no auto target mechanic and they play well enough.
