They're /in/. The pass is lowkey everyone that missed the initial roster and Fighter Pass cutoff.
Yep, I'm thinking he made a second pass just for Rex
That game was fucking garbage, so I really hope it's not celebrated in Smash anymore. I want to forget
I'm hoping with restraint. I don't think I could take getting burned a second time.
I'd be much happier with kosmos or elma but eh...
It'd be nice. But I really don't know how they'd handle him. If it's just Rex, that's all well and good, but it's not as if Pyra and Mythra couldn't fight. However if they can switch places, they'd have to give them unique specials since the girls can't do stuff like Anchor Shot.
I'd just have Pyra in the background ala Pokemon Trainer, and you have the option to switch to Mythra which changes properties of your attacks.
>I'd just have Pyra in the background ala Pokemon Trainer, and you have the option to switch to Mythra which changes properties of your attacks.
This idea is so fucking bad and I wish people would stop suggesting it.
In concept, it's literally just "Shulk but with only two modes".
In presentation it's boring (a swordfighter with a cheer squad somewhere on the stage? seriously?).
Thematically it ignores that Blades actually handle some of the fighting themselves with Blade Specials and that a good driver in-universe is meant to fight alongside them, not behind them or separately from them.
My 2 cents (because cutting down someone else's idea without providing your own is cowardice) is more like assymetrical Ice Climbers
>They can't be KO'd separately, so connect them by ether tether (if Pyra is sent too far away she 'snaps back' into place)
>Pyra handles Specials and Smash attacks. Rex handles tilts, jabs and aerials. Their animations includes Pyra handling the Aegis Sword for each attack while Rex does his stupid cheer dance if he stays still during them
>Rex takes less damage (.75%) and Pyra takes more (1.25%) a la Bowser Jr to reward spacing. If they're both hit by an attack, they just take regular damage.
>Because of how their Specials/Smashes and regular attacks work, you can "cancel" them by beginning a different attack before the previous one has finished.
>IE while Rex is using an f-tilt you can buffer an Up Special, or while Pyra is doing up smash you can jump into place to follow up with a neutral-air.
>They have a tether because of course they do
>Mythra is some Arsene style meter or some shit, who gives a fuck, the "Blade + Driver" duo is way more concise and stronger than "Blade + Driver + other Blade" shit
>sakurai said more dlc allows for more crossovers
>xenoblade 2 content is already in
Imagine wanting the worst Xenoblade character so more people will draw more porn of your anthro sword waifu
>worst Xenoblade character
No one mentioned Tatsu though.
>Tatsu
No one said "best Xenoblade character" though.
>No one said "best tasting Xenoblade character" though.
FTFY
How many days in a row are you gonna make this same thread?
You think any of that matters when Sakurai made Joker the most boring he ever could have been?
- Rex
- Spring Man (Springtron is the AT when in play)
- Kazuma (name I prefer the most but they had some other ones) / Akira Howard
- Outer Mercenary
- Sword/Shield mon.
Going by the OP assumption that it's just all Switch first party that missed the boat. If they pulled a Grenigger/Incineroar again then Sakurai has definitely seen some Galarmons by now.
>>sakurai said more dlc allows for more crossovers
Mistranslation He said a new world is connected each time they add a character, which can be taken literally or figuratively.
Rexfags remind me of Hillaryfags last election.
Drop Spring Man, you know who really goes there. Him and Sothis.
If only we did get a dragon loli in smash.
>a new world is connected each time they add a character
Don't know how else you can possibly take this, mixed with the spirits, and the new music we get every DLC.
Rex is already a spirit and a mii costume, you fags got more than you deserve
I just want him to swing her around as his own loli Kazooie. It would be funny and mask the otherwise glaring sword user.
Xeno 2 takes place in a completely different setting from the first game that isn't represented in Smash. It is perfectly acceptable to interpret its world as unrepresented, because it is.
You're right that Sakurai's idea is probably boring as all hell (Mii Swordfighter with a tether and Arsene-style meter mechanic and background Pyra) but I still expect fans to have higher hopes and expectations than that.
>that isn't represented in Smash
...outside of spirits, music, mii costumes, and online avatars...
Right.
Yeah, considering we have SMASH X UNDERTALE with only a Sans mii costume, XC2's world is represented already.
This whole game has been heavily jerking off the crossover aspect, we're gonna get SMASH X [series[ with all the DLC choices.
