Thats it? It's literally just dkc returns on ice. Why do you faggots praise this game again? It's not even the best dkc game.

one of the best soundtracks at least

It's good but not remarkably better than returns. I played them both and I must say I don't get the hype either

It has more active level design than DKCR.

Also a world full of water levels is better than a world full of rocket barrel and mine cart levels.

I'm stuck at the stupid Walrus boss (World 6?) and I haven't even found all the secrets in the water world. This game is actually as difficult for me now as DKC 2 was for me when I was 10 and I'm liking it. My only complaints are the controls can feel a bit wonky, kind of like Mario 1 jumping physics where I find myself trying to land on an enemy just to land beside them and then take damage. It would also be nice if the enemies were actual threats and not just kind of standing in place doing nothing.

The ice levels don't even appear till the end of the game though. People like the game because of the music, presentation, level design and challenge.

the platforming is pretty good but the game (and returns) falls incredibly flat on atmosphere and visual style

yeah this, there are barely any ice levels, and a shit ton of variety in the other levels

Grassland Groove is an amazing level

How can you say that when levels like this exist?

this

nice bait

I actually got 24th best time globally on this level on switch last fall. I'm sure it's changed since then but that's my two seconds of fame.

I've beeing liking this game a lot after the first world, but when i started playing the safari level - it blew my fucking mind. Reminds me of rayman origins/legends in terms of good new ideas for worlds. youtube.com/watch?v=D8cNLoNMAIw

I felt the same way. Playing this on an early Saturday morning with hot tea beside me gave me flashbacks to playing the original trilogy as a kid. This is easily my favourite area in the game.

the bosses are so fucking boring

This. It's overrated. Yoshi's Woolly World was better, and it's on the same system.

>tea
Ah, fellow tea lover. Though i've been drinking a lot of coffee lately cause i can't work otherwise

You're wrong.

Wing Ding is my favorite

I would say dk:tf is objectively better, though woolly world is also the best platformer i've played in a while. It's underrated and i think is the second best yoshi game after snes one. Plus the music is amazing.
