Is there any way to use both gyro and analog triggers at the same time on PC with this controller?
With Steam controller settings:
X-input mode (holding start+X on controller) allows analog triggers, but since it assumes it's an Xbox controller, gyro is not an option
Switch mode (holding start+Y) allows gyro, but it assumes it's a Switch controller so analog triggers are disabled
DualShock 4 mode (holding start+ A) allows for analog triggers but it still doesn't detect the gyroscope despite the PS4 having one.
Is there any other program that can use both? 8Bitdo's own program for it is useless. I know this is something that's possible because the Steam Controller itself allows analog triggers and gyro at the same time, I wish there was a way for Steam to just recognize this as a Steam Controller or something.

I have no idea but I'll give you a bump

I have one of these. Not sure how I can test it, but it should work in DInput mode.

Just buy the official nintendo snes wireless controller when it’s available fucking retard

Does this thing have the same awkward method to connect to the Switch as the regular Pro? I still can't believe they don't just let you wake it from sleep mode with the home button still.

D-input makes Steam recognize it as a PS4 controller I think, but 8bitdo's gyroscope doesn't actually translate to the DualShock's SIXAXIS.
I'm thinking 8bitdo just disables the gyroscope when it's not in Switch mode.

Yeah, that's the solution to my problem of no analog triggers and gyroscope at the same time, order up something that has no triggers or gyroscope at all.

It connects a lot quicker and consistently than their previous controllers. However yeah, it still doesn't wake the fucking thing.

can any non-officially licensed 3rd party controllers wake the switch?

Supposedly some can but I don't have a source for that, heard it in some videos reviewing this 8bitdo one.
If it is true, gotta wonder why 8bitdo can't get their shit together for that.

My PowerA Wireless Gamecube controller can and I assume other PowerA Switch controllers can too.

that's not what he's asking about at all you absolute retard.

what are you trying to make this work with? i'm assuming since you want gyro and triggers this is for a racing game? why didn't you just get a wheel.

For stuff like GTA5 I guess. It's not that big a deal, but it was a feature I was interested in.

>8shitdo

Buy a Dualshock, it's supported by Steam... load the games through the Steam and that's it.

I picked up a DualShock 4 for cheap at the flea market and hated it so I flipped it and made a few bucks. This things is nicer for me.

try sending them an email on their site, this is their first analog trigger controller so i'm sure they've overlooked a few things with how their firmware handles it combined with gyro.

they might put out an update for it eventually

Can't use that on Switch without an adapter and even then the 8bitdo pro dpad is still way better

>not using an original nintendo controller

Should have bought a Steam Controller or a Dualshock 4.

Why not just use the Switch Pro controller?
also I just bought one, can the gyro be used in PC games?

>can the gyro be used in PC games?
Yes

>Dualshit
Sony makes the worst controllers, even a third party like 8bitdo beats that garbage anyday.

The pro controller is okay, but still has a shitty dpad that misinputs. Anything is better than joycons however.
Also this one lets you rebind buttons with software so you can bypass retarded control design limitations imposed by devs. N++ forcing jump to A instead of B and CTR not letting you use the actual triggers for drifting comes to mind.

>Sony makes the worst controllers
But the PS Vita has the best D-Pad ever created...

I love my vita. The dpad is fine I suppose, but I wouldn't call it the best.
But DS4 is still ass. The xbone is byfar the best one, with switch pro being a close second.
t. someone who doesn't even own a xbone

I've bought the SN30 Pro Wired and the M30. Both were disappointments. I thought waiting for Retrobit's bluetooth controller was a meme, but now I understand why.

I have a couple of controllers by them and they all work well for me.

That's because you're a nine.

does it need a lot of fiddling with to get working in a 3rd party program or is it just plug and play? I'm assuming the former but hoping for the latter, but the xbox controller doesn't have gyro and I can't imagine windows supporting something they don't support on their own consoles.
