ok you hipsters, pick a game you like that is:

-50 or below
-Released after 2000
-Non ironic
-Isn't just a bad port job
-Bonus points if the user score is 5 or below

Agony

I still can't believe you retards shit on it.

Attached: Devil's Third.jpg (188x269, 19K)

Too much bullshit "in your adult life in the mid 2000s" lol half of us probably aren't even 17 yet.

Speak for yourself, whippersnapper.

I was expecting a thread full of hidden gems and instead i got a shithole of a thread full of unironical brainlets that like eating actual feces.

I liked Sonic 2006.

My mind went to Transformers Devastation which is an unsung 10/10 GOTYAY, but its meta score is 74, not

Kung Pow

damn so close

Attached: orphen.png (430x303, 62K)

it really wasn't a terrible premise for a movie and Sean Penn isn't a bad actor

Attached: p29041_v_v8_af.jpg (960x1440, 327K)

movies are generally rated on a different scale from video games. games are usually rated like an american report card, with below 5 meaning it's irredeemable garbage

Devil’s third

Postal 2

Attached: 1561858858439.png (404x207, 44K)

I never got to play it, but I had unironic fun with Rockshot before it was killed like 3 months in.

I still think Rockshot/DT (presumably) has the best cover mechanic of any shooter ever made

I didnt play much of it, but what I did play I liked.

Attached: Ace of Spades.png (680x362, 48K)

Hidden gems still get > 50% simply because at least one reviewer will give it a good score

driv3r has a lot of good but it's pretty much shit

Why do PC versions of games score consistently lower than their console versions?

This was probably my favourite JRPG ever outside of SMT, Battle Network and Pokemon. When I checked the reviews I was pretty shocked to see the average was somewhere in the 40s.

Attached: mana-khemia-student-alliance-usa-playstation-portable_1484072481[1].jpg (640x1111, 218K)

Did you play the Jagex version, which is what's rated, or the old version that was Yea Forums's FOTM for years.

yeah not sub 50 but close I really liked the ideas this game had and am fully aware of the flaws it had

Attached: alone.png (542x300, 65K)

>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Hard evidence
You know I enjoyed the hell out of this game when it released. Didn't think it was that bad to get a 48 though.

>50 or below
There are barely any games left already

Attached: kj3gFME.jpg (1786x919, 104K)

Hylics

Attached: 1542050087799.png (327x96, 16K)

Easy. I've 100%ed it on Steam and everything, it's great.

Attached: Screenshot_20190911_010711.jpg (1080x871, 164K)

Fucking Blades of Time isn’t even below 50 and I know for a fact I’m the only person who ever even played it.

Mana Khemia was shit, and that psp por was straight up garbage, holy shit.

It's at 51, which is close enough. Both of the lead actors are terrible, Anakin in Attack of the Clones tier, but everything else is solid.

Ayee my sonic Adventure is there, I loved it.

Sorry for the phoneposting.

Higher standards and bad ports

Baroque.
Legit good game.

Attached: BaroqueGame_7883.jpg (275x424, 30K)

I don't believe the bottom one bit, esp since most old magazine reviews were 2 sentences long anyway.

While I understand this instinct, a game is not a test; a score of “5/10” does not necessarily imply “it only managed to not completely fuck up 50% of its components”

>Implying
I bought it day one because I loved X-blades and the art style looked amazing.
I was not disappointed, great game even if the time mechanics are pointless.

I literally cant think of one.
Simcity got a 64 critic, but only a 2.2 user, I really loved that game and still wish I could play that but with massive custom maps like Cities Skylines because it's a better game than Cities Skylines, I digress.
I looked it up and despite having a metascore of 44, it has a user score of 6.6 but Zoo Tycoon DS was the shit when I was a kid. I would stay up late all the time playing it for hours and playing out all the scenarios.

The constant switching character in the middle of battle was a legit game dropper for me. It was not fun.
Early chapters without it were fun.

Movies have it down with rated out of 4 and no decimals. 2 stars is bad, 3 stars is good. There is middle.

Yea Forums is that way >>Yea Forums

I'm just gonna scroll through the list until I see some titles I recognize.
Codename KND is the first one I came across that meets all the requirements. Better than some licensed games, I guess.
Hellboy: Science of Evil was memed to death and didn't deserve the low ratings it got (it's much closer to a 6/10 than a 5/10).
Rampage: Total Destruction is great, fuck the pansies crying about "muh plot! muh post-9/11 world! muh national monuments!" It's a game about giant monsters smashing buildings, what it lacks in depth, it makes up for in giant monsters smashing buildings.
Mushroom Men deserved better.
Darkest of Days represents the only game I know of that lets you gun down Injuns and Roman shield formations with an LMG and deserves some recognition for that.

but what about if like bioshock infinite while everyone hate it here?

It doesn’t quite fit this criteria but Alpha Protocol was a good 20-25 points lower than what it should be. Criminally underrated. That’s probably my favorite game that got a low score.

Because the only games to get below 50 on metacritic are games that are the kind of jank that aren't charming, just functionally, normally bad. You could personally fly to every reviewers house and shit on the thing they cared for the most as part of the game, and you'd still probably get at least a 60

that game was a blast for me too, fuck haters

All of the lower scoring games I've played have been 2010 onwards. I don't recall a legitimately bad game from 2000-2010

I had fun with this one, though I played on PS2, which is rated a bit higher.

Attached: file.png (654x333, 69K)

Does user score count?

Attached: file.png (664x360, 75K)

I loved Dane Dehaan. Reminds me much of myself

>become war to survive war

BECOME HAM TO EAT HAM

no because users dont know what theyre talking about, game critics get payed to do it so they have to be good at games.

Movie:
rottentomatoes.com/m/the_book_of_eli

If this movie ended at the start of the finale (after the gunfight that destroys the house but before the retarded grenade thing) it would be incredible. The shitty twist ending doesn't ruin it for me.

Game:
The lowest rated Metacritic game I like is Dead Island: Riptide, but that's only 57%.

It's retarded but I like the island setting and will take Dead Island over Borderlands any day.

>y-y-you muh-muh-muh-make m-me h-happyyyy

top review system is actually Yea Forums review system, and they do it like that so anything below 10 will start a "OH NO NO NO NO" /pol/ in disguise thread

Do I really have to post that cuphead webm again for you to learn your lesson, old man?

>FOTM
>for years

Attached: 3d7[1].jpg (470x470, 25K)

Hell this is what I had within arms length and not including Shadow the Hedgehog (which I bought the special edition controller for over the megaman x GC), death crimson ox and cruis'n exotica

>unironically believing this

what is the IQ range for fans of xkcd?

our time to shine has come, my ET bros

Attached: Etvideogamecover.jpg (220x307, 17K)

Never got to play Devil's Third's multiplayer or Rockshot, but I hear it was glorious. DT's single-player is pretty solid, though. The presentation is kinda rough around the edges, but it has that God Hand-esque charm about it. I really don't see why it got trashed as much as it did.

I mean you joke but

ACTUALLY

I just remembered I really liked the Pirates of the Caribbean 3 game, specifically the Wii version that let you unlock basically every model in the game as a playable character and most of them had at least a somewhat unique moveset. That game got a 53%, which is lower but still not 50% or lower.

metacritic.com/game/wii/pirates-of-the-caribbean-at-worlds-end

this is complete bullshit. The real problem with reviews isn't some nonsense number inflation, it's that there is no relationship between score and game quality so many good games have low rating and many bad games have high ratings.

Attached: Capture.png (686x327, 75K)

I think it's on the lower end since most of comics come off as being smart but aren't really that deep. It's good fodder for stupid people to feel smart.

but that game you posted is really shit, and you should feel bad for liking it

>liking something everyone hates
They probably hate it because it's garbage.

Huh, surprised to see this has such an okay score.

Attached: 51DG6RBBC6L._AC_SX430_.jpg (369x500, 42K)

but Yea Forums hate everything, so is hard to tell

As it turns out, everything mostly is garbage.

Uuuughh fuck, someone translate the ps1/Saturn version, the ps2 remake looks and sounds like GARBAGE

That's a legitimately terrible game though.

Fpbp
Once they fixed and uncensored it it was mostly fine and I look forward to the sequel.

it's technically correct

Attached: Spider Man 2 The Game.png (680x343, 68K)

>rottentomatoes.com/m/the_book_of_eli
I don't care what the fedora-tippers say, Book of Eli is great. I can't believe it's rated so poorly.

The pc port was bad I think.

It wasn't a port, it was actually a older model of the game used instead of the console versions. Why? because fuck programing.

>book of nig

it was really bad, they should have went at least with some really good book, not the bibble

are there memes where people change the book? would have been funnier with something like The Capital or some shit like that

just barely made it

Attached: Capture.jpg (654x316, 50K)

Attached: 65 is basically 50.png (653x340, 64K)

okay obviously I failed at the basic rules but I genuinely thought everyone hated this game?? how the fuck did it review so high, it sucks ass even though I love it

Attached: spy hunter ps2.jpg (656x320, 82K)

It was a highly overhyped film prior to release that ended up being a disappointment for many.

>believing what Yea Forums says

thats how you got tricked into thinking it was bad and hated

That must be a joke.

I don't understand how a man who draws stick figure comics can be so sanctimonious.

Oh. Never saw any previews for it, so that never impacted my opinion at all. I just know my old man likes it a lot and he has had it recorded on his DVR for years now. We watch it every now and again when I visit.

>Cortex Command

holy shit, i forgot that game existed. exciting in 2006, but not really now

I don't suppose you could give me some leeway since vidya reviews are generally skewed to the higher end of the spectrum.

Attached: file.png (642x315, 81K)

Wow, that was really easy, I've always loved shitgames but this was a bit disappointing.
Spiderman 3 is 50, Leisure suit larry is 50, Incredible hulk is 50, Sonic adventure is 50, Shadow the Hedgehog is under 50.
I don't even have to look any further.

Attached: Eating furiously.gif (379x440, 140K)

>I can't believe it's rated so poorly
I can. Had a lot of people physically groan and bitch when the twist happen. Mind you I was living in the hell state that is CA, free of them now and have arrived in a nice middle town in PA where people don't lose their shit over personal beliefs and choices on either direction

Wow, what the fuck, Dragon ball z Sagas is 49.
I thought people liked that game?

>Sonic adventure
Only the X360 port.
>Spiderman 3 is 50
Only the PS2 port that come out after the PS3 version

what version? Most of these low scores are from bad ports hence why OP excluded that

PS2
I've never had a PS3.

>I've never had a PS3.
doesn't change OPs rules. I get where you are coming from but if bad ports were allowed this challenge would be way to easy as you have shown.

What i'm implying is that I played the PS2 version.

>mid-2000s CA
That's disappointing, but not surprising.

The Good Shepherd
>53%
dammit

Nobody fucking liked Sagas.

Are you thinking of legacy of goku games?

Well, I liked Sagas, so I win, what do I win?

Minority Report.

i'm cheating here because the god-tier wii version didn't get a metascore, but the significantly worse 3ds and wii u versions got a 45.

Attached: rodea.jpg (800x1138, 247K)

Spider-Man 2 on PC isn't the same game as the console versions. Much like 007: Nightfire and Spongebob: Battle for Bikini Bottom, the PC version is a worse game entirely from the console version.

Was this actually considered a bad movie? I really enjoyed it but I've never bothered to look at what others think of it.

Huh, I was thinking about trying this, too. What's so awful about this one?

Attached: 20190910_180722.jpg (1080x1171, 351K)

make it 70 or below
game scores are inflated

Can't think of a game I like scored THAT low but I've got Freddy vs Jason for movie.

turns out, I have never played a bad game before.

The retards that reviewed never played a virtual on game in their life so they trash it.
It's not amazing but as a virtual clone it's pretty good with a lot of content and decent AI.

Genso Rondo also got terrible reviews because no one played Senko No Ronde

I love Marvel vs Capcom Infinite

Fallout 76. Fuck you I had a lot of fun with it.

pic related got a 35 because it had bad animations and graphics. meanwhile, nu-pokemon gets mid-to-high 80s despite having bad animations and graphics.

Attached: langrissertensei.jpg (438x370, 63K)

I'm genuinely confused.
This is like taking the bad qualities of being a hipster and trying to prove you're a hipster because how bad your tastes are.

Is XKCD ironic, or genuinely retarded?

A Witch's Tale
Tao's Adventure (seriously it's the sequel to Azure Dreams and nobody even knows about it)
Legendary
FFXIV (this doesn't really count for obvious reasons, but it was quite playable at the end of 1.x)
Duke Nukem Forever (Does this count? The list specifically mentions the 360 version, I have it on PC. There are going to be several like this.)
Double Dragon IV
My Pokemon Ranch (I think most of us are guilty of this one, with all those screenshot threads)
Tetris Worlds
Starpoint Gemini
Unlimited Saga
Mushroom Men: Rise of the Fungi
Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back (fuck the world, Bubsy 3D was the only one that sucked)
Hyperdimension Neptunia
Q*bert: Rebooted (Q*bert was my first-ever favorite game, so of course I like this. Q*bert is a pimp.)
Hatred (It's Smash TV with destructible terrain. Let go of the drama and embrace the gibs.)
Hello Neighbor
The Chaos Engine (might not count, being a remake)

Senran Kagura: Reflexions
I won't get the bonus points for low user score, but it fits the rest of the criteria. I love rubbing Ryona's thighs.

>every game I liked that was hated on release is now considered good on metacritic

this is bullshit.

Attached: 07c[1].jpg (479x558, 65K)

>Score of 46

I enjoyed it. It was a clunky game for sure, but it had so much SOUL.

Attached: 7dc67126cba4aa9e50a35381293a7282-98.jpg (98x139, 8K)

I wasn't even talking about the Bible being the book because I liked Eli and (Gary Oldman's character) having parallel interpretations of the use for the Bible in the post-apocalypse.

I was talking about Eli being blind the whole time. Denzel is a good actor but he doesn't act blind in the rest of the movie. They have a throwaway line about him smelling the bandits but that's it. He even sees the cannibals having shakes.

I also didn't see it in theatres with lots of hype though, and I saw it when I thought we'd never get another Mad Max movie so I liked it a lot until the very end.

Cope.

It should be lower than 70 cause games reviews are broken

He uses echolocation all throughout the movie. It's the clicking you hear during some of the quiet moments.

>-Bonus points if the user score is 5 or below
doesnt exist. lowest is 11 on this list, for "Family Party: 30 Great Games Obstacle Arcade (WIIU) "

Does this mean that video game reviews are objectively better, or improperly spaced out?

the only thing below 50% is unplayable or genuinely buggy poorly ported games.

i think he meant 5.0 aka 50 points

oh yeah, i totally ignored "user score" so im actually just retarded

metacritic.com/game/ds/flower-sun-and-rain
Greatest game of all time got barely above a 50. Never trust game critics.

Almost...

Attached: black-sigil.png (655x346, 63K)

>anything below 50 is actually pretty bad
>broken

people love to shit on reviewers, but a lot of games in the 70 range actually do sit in the "not for everyone but for someone" category. Like people said before there's a difference between a given score and what you think the score actually means.

I have this but haven't played. Is it worth?

and terrible gameplay
It's barely any better than fire emblem awakening

Paranautical Activity got canned on Metacritic
It's not perfect but it's certainly not a 5/10

Duke nukem forever is as close as i could get to 50. I guess the xbox 360 version got a 48 so it counts. Videogames unlike movies are graded on a 6-10 scale with 7 being unplayable garbage so its way harder to find a game below 50 that even works properly.

>it's so hard to like things everyone else dislikes!
>but beer is fucking gross and anyone who likes it is just pretending
Fuck that cunt, hope he gets raped by a pack of niggers.

Attached: Untitled.png (758x544, 67K)

Firmly in "fuck you, I liked it" territory. The guns are a nice idea, combining the typical semi-realistic two-gun loadout with a modular weapon system for each gun, giving you six weapons total, largely with dramatically divergent functions. The AI is decently smart and pretty vicious, and stealthing through yellow zones is a real challenge. If you liked playing Dishonored with no powers and wanted more gun, this is actually a pretty good game.

Attached: homefront.png (833x458, 99K)

no, it really isn't. it's the sonic 06 of digimon.

Yeah, Postal 2 was legit fun to dick around in. Critics hated it because it was politically incorrect.

The level design is really cool and the rest of the game is solidly in "it'll do I guess" territory. I think the reviews trashed it because it's very janky and unpolished

Attached: Untitled.png (667x334, 60K)

unironically enjoyed this game. The gameplay was fun enough and I didnt really pay attention to the story. Its satisfying to blow peoples limbs off and you can suck my dick for it

Attached: sof.png (677x353, 82K)

Posts like these make me feel old. Jesus Christ

I really liked the inventory system in that game, looking down at your jacket and seeing everything was such a good concept, and I liked that it wasn't the pause either, because it encourages you to think ahead and strategize before entering a fight or a new area. I'm a sucker for atmosphere in games and stuff like that really adds to it, makes the world feel a lot more real. The obvious problems are that while the limited inventory space is good by itself, items like bandages become worthless because bullets are so much more valuable. Then when you get wounded you're basically dead because you have no bandages.

i'm not the one pretending that breath of the reddit is one of the greatest games ever made.

>I-IT'S REDDIT
is that all your criticism is, retard? it's bad because reddit likes it?

I tend to be picky about which games I buy, so this is the closest to 50 I could find that I've actually played. House of the Dead 2 was actually the first game I ever played, I was about 4 years old at the time. It was an arcade cabinet though, so maybe this is just a bad port.

First thing I found was shadow the hedgehog, still can't bring myself to not kinda like that game
What the fuck
Isn't postal 2 generally considered, like, REALLY good? I know I thought it was.

This is crap any big title that isn't a broken mess gets over 50 and any indie title has no official reviews and just a couple user reviews.

How's the Wii version?

What a bunch of shit, this game was fun

Attached: 1561922101505.png (703x357, 87K)

Oh fuck me, I remember playing that as a kid. Was it really that bad?

A friend of mine bought this game when we were in college. As soon as he opened it we saw pubes all over the cd, and a bunch of dried piss all over the insides of the case.

That's literally all I remember of the game.

Easy

Attached: file.png (680x271, 73K)

this looks amazing, is it worth it for a hardcore rpg fan?

Why does the Wii version have such a low score? I thought that was supposed to be best version of Goji Unleashed

Probably the wagglan, but I can't see that being nearly enough justification for the abysmal score

>xkcd

I legit was going to say the Shrek 2 game for the Gamecube, it came free with mine and I didn't have enough to buy Melee yet so I ended up playing with it for like a week, and for some strange reason I still have fond memories of playing it. I still like this game, not ironic at all, and thought that was going to be my in.

Somehow Shrek 2 on Gamecube is 70. metacritic.com/game/gamecube/shrek-2 I guess my taste isn't as shit as I thought?

nah dude, that game was awesome. Like a cheap, but decent beat em up.

I hope the XKCD author kills himself in front of his whole family so they can all suffer for what they've brought into the world.

I remember genuinely enjoying Constantine with Keanu Reaves even though it was like 56% on RT

For the movie, A Dark Truth. It's about water rights.
For the game, Shadow The Hedgehog. It's actually fun.

youtu.be/NNoeI7BroOM
This looks way fucking better than 1-2 switch, why the hell is the score so low

this game is great
has its flaws, of course
but what it tried to do makes it stand out

Shadow the Hedgehog, although I admit I'd like to mod it to make it better in some regards (like Sonic giving you advice that doesn't follow the hero objective at one point, just remove that altogether), I thoroughly enjoy it.

Pretty sure Vinny did a video on it

Not a game but Only God Forgives is a masterpiece to me and it has a below 50% score on RT.

based bait

Don't know the score but i really liked fallout 4 and 3, also, saints row gat out of hell was one of my favourite games when it came out but everyone i know shits on it for not being a true "saints row game"

Wario: Master of Disguise: 60
Touch Detective: 60

Even then, both of those games pretty much deserve those scores. I can't seem to find anything I liked that's below 60. Plenty of older stuff just doesn't even have a score.

However, you do lose all faith in Metacritic (or whatever faith you even had in it) when you start comparing things between the same series. 3DS Soul Hackers has a worse score than PSP Persona 1?

Attached: 1567310670695.jpg (966x1024, 226K)

Why does this guy always spout stupid shit? Never have I read something from that didn't make my eyes roll to the back of my head. It's just stick figures with poorly written messages on them.

The Wii version is identical to the PS2 version (and the later iPhone version that no one ever played). They're remakes of the PS1 version which is a remake of the Saturn version.

Not the original poster above but I really love Baroque too. I'd hesitate to call it a good game because the gameplay definitely isn't special. People who like the game either love the dark post-apocalyptic atmosphere and setting where you discover the plot through sparse lines of dialogue or they love the insane collectionist/perfectionist mindset the game encourages you to have.

Also the game is long long forgotten (if it was ever remembered for anything) but every year on May 14 the developers still put a new desktop wallpaper art on their website for one day before removing it, to celebrate the day the apocalypse occurs in the game's story.

Attached: baroque0005.jpg (1440x1080, 244K)

I genuinely enjoyed Duke Nukem Forever

I really loved Shadow the Hedgehog when it came out too and was surprised finding out on the internet later that everyone laughed at how bad it was. Some levels and some game mechanics are definitely janky but most of the game is still great fun Sonic Adventure style platforming.

>rayman arena only got a 50
The fuck? I remember playing this game religiously

I knew what I was gonig to pick immediately. Predator: Concrete Jungle is badly underrated. It's not amazing, but it's at least an 8/10. Fun gameplay, physics are solid, tons of ways to work on enemies, tons of post-game content and unlockables, and good ability to traverse your environments. The biggest complaints are that the camera gets fucky sometimes (which is legitimately true), the gore is too extreme (which is retarded bullshit, the gore was fine for a game built around the premise of hunting people), and that level design and controls are too complex.
This game got tarred and feathered by the critics for pretty much no reason when it was a pretty decent game, all things considered.

Godzilla unleashed was alright, but DAMM and STE were leagues better

vroom in the night sky

Critics hated it because the game was a technical wreck on launch. If it came out in the state the current up-to-date Steam release is, it'd have done much better.

Never understood the hate for Castlevania Judgment. It's just a non-canon arena fighter (like a Naruto or a JoJo's ASB) with a roster that's just a who's who of the franchise's history. The only real flaw in terms of gameplay is that using your super is an automatic win if your opponent is at half-health, and it only takes a single button to input.

Douk Forever would have been better received if it came out in the mid 2000's, because the way it plays, it's right at home there.

>JRPG
>Battle Network

Game runs bad but it's not a result of the port (originally came out on NGage where it ran worse). It's just the way the game was. Was the only good portable Splinter Cell for quite awhile until that PSP remixed release.

Yeah, I enjoyed Duke Nukem forever, mostly for nostaglia because 3D was my favorite game when I was a kid and I played the crap out of it. By the time Forever came out I was just glad I was actually able to play it since I had resigned myself to it just never releasing.

Gave me a good chuckle, thanks user.

It's a ps2 reboot of an arcade game, I doubt anyone here has even talked about it

People hated the 'newer' Spy Hunter that was released during Wii era.

Terrible game, somehow worse than the original which was already a less-than-mediocre cod/hl clone

movie and game ratings dont work the same way retard

The Thing is one of the best movies of all time and it has a metacritic score of 50

>not even the best guilty gear
>the shitcher
Opinion discarded

My condolences

50 is too low for video games. Unlike movie reviews, video game reviews award points for not being broken / janky / glitchy. You’ll neve see a movie review awarding points for keeping a steady frame rate, for obvious reasons. Even 10s on Rotten Tomatoes can be technically proficient and competently made. That isn’t the case for video games.

I think the better number would be 65 or 70.

Yea Forums would've torn it a new asshole back then based on the two weapon limit alone

if you disregard the edgelord cringe, Hatred is just boring to play and the gameplay peaks after the first 10 minutes or so. There are better Smash TV clones out there. Also Bubsy and Neptunia are genuinely bad series

Yeah there's no defending that. Wasn't that an addition near the very end?

>Also the game is long long forgotten (if it was ever remembered for anything) but every year on May 14 the developers still put a new desktop wallpaper art on their website for one day before removing it, to celebrate the day the apocalypse occurs in the game's story.
Shit, that's really cool.
Baroque (PSX/Saturn) is the game I want a translation for the most nowadays. It really seems perfect for me, I really love that extremely atmopsheric retro horror that lots of fifth gen games have.

The original sonic adventure gets my pick

The only 'good' game posted ITT is Postal 2. And no I'm not counting ports of games that scored higher on the original release, that's blatantly cheating

guess the VN

>this website has literal dlc packs shitting up the space
im not sifting through 180 pages of this trash

Fuck, almost.
Where's my fellow SaGabros

Attached: file.png (824x404, 103K)

Why the fuck are so many good Digimon games below 50 or hovering around it?

I do know why it isn't on metacritic but I'm pretty sure the original Sonic adventure wouldn't have scored that low. The GameCube version is a botched port. For reference even Sonic Shuffle scored higher than 50 on metacritic.

Suck my Dick or Die

>DBZ Infinite World is a 48 for some retarded reason
>Looney Tunes: Back in Action (PS2) is a 51 despite being a comfy platformer. Only real issue it has is that one dickass button mashing wrestling mission that borderline requires a turbo controller

good job!

I cheated.

The fuck, why is it so low?

Ran like garbage on release

I remember really liking A Witch's Tale. Drawing the spells on the touch screen was kinda cool. I really dug the aesthetic.

Attached: Capture.jpg (702x375, 49K)

I really liked this one, rented it from blockbuster at least 3 times. I remember it being pretty difficult.

im with y..

i mean STREAM IT IF YOURE SI GREAT

Ye I liked it. I replayed it recently and it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be.

person you replied to here, same. I see tons of flaws in it, but a lot of what people say is either unfair or false.

Heardy Gerdy I don’t even have to check

This thread started with the wrong foot if we are deciding our niche dictate the value of "loving something everyone hated" specially regarding our decade.

For example, I love God Hand. It was a failure commercially, hated even by reviewers but nowadays it is regarded as a cult classic.

I also love Shin Megami Tensei on snes. My own social circle would hate this game. Actually, I think everybody I know would hate this game. But in my niche its a groundbreaking rpg with a revolutionary mechanic.

I also love Nintendo. I have always loved nintendo. There was a time, basically at wiiu age, where hating nintendo was something every cool kid was doing on Yea Forums. I still loved nintendo and the WiiU.

I am pretty used to love things that is hated with passion or WOULD be, if normies would have contact with. I still remember when my brazilian friends discovered Terry Pratchett and said he was ridiculous, and dismissed him as a bad writer. That kinda hurt me but I know they don't know better.

>for movies, anything above 60 is marked in green
>for games, anything below 75 is marked in yellow

>for games, anything marked below 50 is red

>it was actually rated pretty highly
Dammit

Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly
metacritic.com/game/gamecube/spyro-enter-the-dragonfly

I was around 8-9 at the time and it was one of a handful of games I had for Gamecube that weren't total garbage. I have no clue how much progress I made.

THIS RIGHT HERE
I played the fuck out of this game when it still had players.
I don't get why people complained about Jajex taking it, it was more fun when it had its classes then back when it had one guy with one gun type and like, 2 maps.

the class system was fun, the gunplay was fun, the game modes were fun, maps were fun, all of it was fun, and nobody played it. it makes me sad.

I'm gonna cheat a bit
>Cortex Command
>Too Human
>X Rebirth
>Stronghold Legends
>Eternal Crusade
>Dungeon Siege 3

afterfall insanity was at least interesting, maybe not good.

Fucking impossible. I own over 1200 games on steam. I deliberately buy a lot of trash and play random bad games because they interest me. Hell, I LIKE a lot of weird, unpopular shit.
I still only have 10 games with a meta score under 50.

The original challenge works because movies are scaled a lot lower, and because Rotten Tomatoes isn't the same as Metacritic.

its not even on metacritic, but Resident Evil Gaiden.
our boy Leon has to stop an Umbrella Corp. weapon rampaging on a ship

youtube.com/watch?v=_hlgg7PIt1c

Haven't seen any scores for it any where on account of being retro but despite how many people shit on it I like SMB2 Lost Levels.

>I own over 1200 games on steam. I deliberately buy a lot of trash and play random bad games because they interest me.
Disgusting. You sound like my brother.

>Isn't postal 2 generally considered, like, REALLY good? I know I thought it was.

if we ommit the "we live in society" aspect it's really mediocre shooter. it's fun due to presentation and sick stuff you can do.

I just like videogames user. I don't pretend they aren't shit, and most of them I got from buying a shitload of bundles.

Does this guy still have cancer

they patched it so you can now carry 4 guns

That movie was so dumb. Like really, really dumb. You are dumb for liking it.

>50 or below
that's a bullshit requirement considering the average score for video games is 7+. This isn't like film where critics need to at least pretend they're not being bribed

Well this too.
Bellow 50 is most likely nonredeemable trash.

I remember renting this game when I was younger. It was fun, but it kept crashing, so that might be why it has a low rating.

I'm . I also had this game. It's one of the ones I referred to as "total garbage". I actually played the card game when I was around that age, but I only made it through about 20 minutes of that game before I decided it was irredeemable trash.

Sonic 06

>metacritic.com/browse/games/score/metascore/all/all/filtered?page=154

>yfw after clicking through 6 pages you remember how all games bought or slept with someone for 7+ reviews

I submit that the 5 rule becomes a 7 because anything below an 8 has been shit for a long time.

Oh fuck I forgot these are userscores, god people have zero taste lol. Also I have a horrible fucking cold pls no bully.

i quite like Shrek for Xbox

I can't do it. Every single game on that below 50 list is either some weird ass movie-game that literally nobody wanted, some weird ass shovelware that was probably made on a budget of $20 and has a title like "GAME WAR: DARK BATTLE" or some variation of that, or some dumbass bad port of another better game.

I've never even heard of 90% of that list and the rest are movie games i'd have never touched anyway that COULD MAYBE be redeemable if i'd played them but who the fuck buys movie games?

Like I saw Ace of Spades and that was badgood and I played with Yea Forums, but the most I could vouch for would be and that's a 54.

I couldn't do it either but I would like to point out that there are only 3 pages of pc games in this category below 50.

>pchad smug.jpg

Honorable mention (cheating imo) FF XIV made 49 because it was a shitshow upon release but I enjoyed it after it was cleaned up into a different game.

Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Council 4

Granted I was a kid when I played this, and might hate it now.

Attached: Screenshot_20190910-213504_Chrome.jpg (1440x2960, 615K)

I suppose it coils be considered kind of comfy.

And yet nobody really gave bulletstorm much shit for it despite 2 weapon limit flying right in the face of the games core concept.

I actually liked Terminator Genisys. Was pretty hyped for it too in 2015. It's pretty good for the first 30 minutes, seeing two T-800's fight was cool as shit and the entire 1980's part was fun. Once it goes to the future the film does drop in quality, it's not the worst Terminator film but it had some problems.

Such a shame they spoiled the twist that John Connor was a nano machine terminator in trailers beforehand. Haven't seen a trailer for Dark Fate yet just for this reason, although I don't have high hopes for it I'm still going to watch it because I just love Terminator films.

>50 or below
Too low. The game equivalent to a movie getting 50 is 64.

Don't believe me? Look at Metacritic scores. Movies turn yellow at 60. Games turn yellow at 74.
