So I just finished the game and I am really confused as to why Dimitri has a suicidal vendetta against Edelgard. I've only played the Blue Lion house so far so maybe the other two routes explain how Edelgard betrayed him? I thought Edelgard may have been responsible for the Duscur tragedy but then I read she is the same age as Dimitri so presumably she had nothing to do with Dimitri's traumatic childhood event that apparently made him a bipolar boar like Felix says. Where in the Blue Lion route is it explained why Dimitri is obsessed with Edelgard and goes mad for her?

One: Age ain't meaning shit in the universe in which 13 year old are already in war. Dimitri himself was in the war at that age. So age alone doesn't debunk a shit alone.
Two: If you payed any attention (which you obviously didn't), he goes mad due to PTSD. He watched all of his friends die in front of him. His father's last word to him fucked him up, plus he saw that same father get decapitated in front of him. Edelgard was the only family he had left at that point and she turned out to be Flame Emperor. A guy who is working with the same group of people that were responsible for his PTSD in the first place, and as Thales himself said... They did it in order to empower Flame Emperor (Edelgard).
In short: He is mad at her because he feels betrayed by the only family member he had left at that point. He spent last 4 years surpassing his hatred and madness and now finally he has someone to blame for it. It's not about whatever or no Edelgard did it herself, it's about the fact that she is working with those that did and that's enough for him to direct all of his hatred on. Aka that's how human brain works in traumatic situations.
