Did they ever explain why Link's hair was pink in "Link to the Past"? I always suspected that it was a coding error; they accidentally swapped the G and B color values... this is what it would've looked like if it was reversed, but that yellow seems a bit too light for his hair color if that really was the case.

Shigeru Miyamoto here, Link's hair is pink because I thought it would be funny. Peace out.
No it was intentional. These are some figures that were used in development to base sprites off of.
You're the only one who cares, Dobson.
It actually looks weird now if you make him blonde.
It's distinctive
It stands out more. That blonde would have looked like the face color at normal res.
Oh no, don't do this to me.
Ah yes, the D size tits make everything better.
Maybe Dobson can explain this
But Dobbo only cares about Link's hair in the stupid 80s cartoon.

This but unironically
>tfw there's a chance that BotW2 will let us play as Zelda
>the sequel to the game with the most dressup armor options
Gonna make my Zelda cute as fuck.
This.
Dobson likes the pink hair for some reason. Probably because it was a one-off and is therefore okay while the blonde is recurring and is therefore BAD because he can't play Zelda without being reminded of high school.
I can and will make her wear the vai outfit for the entire game, assuming it's still in.
Does she have a pussy or some balls and a cock?
I always saw the pink as the brim of the hat.
Could have to do with how it displayed on CRT's of the time.
They chose pink because it has more visual contrast. Imagine the right sprite on a CRT, the hair would kinda blend in in with the brim of the hat and his face. Left sprite is far more readable.
As far as I can tell, it's a technical limitation as his bunny form uses the same palette, and the fur is pink.
Both!
The real question is why Link was a shitskin
