It's DMC2 and its already on countless other platforms. If it were released for free that'd be great if unrealistic, but it'd make up for Capcom charging $20 per game when you can get DMC HD cheaper anywhere else. But they're charging $20 for gaming history, and when Capcom has other ports of actually great games for the same price tag, it just feels like a rip off.

The only things Capcom has done to "improve" lately are develop the RE Engine which is the successor to the MT Framework and decide that full-blown outsourcing of games is a bad idea. That said, there's still talent at the company so doing more in-house has produced more quality. There's literally nothing wrong with V's gameplay once you find a comfortable button layout, and MM11 is a Top 3 Classic game. Itsuno is still kicking and will probably make Dragon's Dogma 2 and a fighting game before he retires, and the MM11 team has shown that they know what they're doing, as did the RE2make team, despite all of those teams barring their project leads being mostly new blood.

Inti is completely content making Gunvolt and are probably going to get some sort of royalties for the new Zero/ZX Collection anyway so I don't see them rushing to go back to Capcom again. Also MM11 looked great outside of Rock's model (which is a big thing to fuck up but even then it's just "off" not bad). Mega Man isn't Metal Slug, it can work just fine 2.5D if the artstyle is right.

I disagree. RE7's biggest issue IS the molded, but it's not enough to ruin what's an incredible game. It was the most Resident Evil RE's been since RE1 and I don't mean just in a literal sense, I meant in playstyle, pacing, and exploration. RE7 felt like a true return to form that I really appreciated. It might not be the best RE, or even top 5, but it's still a game I thoroughly enjoyed.

Dante gets ass beat by Urizen, fuses with Sparda to become stronger, beats Urizens ass, Urizen gets the fruit, the almighty fruit that gives you insane strength, that allowed even Mundus to take over the demon realm as king, STILL gets his ass beat, THEN FUSES BACK WITH V TO BECOME VERGIL AND REGAINS HIS STAMINA BACK SOMEHOW TO TELL DANTE TO FUCK OFF. Both V and Urizen were weak as shit at the time, wtf happened.

The graphics, the lethality of the enemies, making zombies threatening again, the soundtrack (when it actually plays), the general presentation and characters and voice acting.

The controls feel just right for a game of its type and gives you enough maneuverability without making it easy.

There is literally more chance of a God Hand port than that happening user.

I literally ran past almost everything in the game, including hunters. Only enemies I ever remember having to kill were the G-mutants in the sewers, and only because those fat cunts blocked the whole path around them.

It's harder and more threatening to try to run past absolutely everything than just getting rid of the more inconvenient enemies. Good for you if you managed to juke everything while going through it but that's not a fun time.

Off the top of my head there's the group that comes through the windows on the east side of the RPD about a 1/3 through the game, the initial group in the flooded hallway after getting the keycard when you have very little ammo, the plant monsters, the G mutants, the dogs in front of the orphanage as Claire, and the room in the lab with the two lickers and the zombie group.

The customization DT means jack shit when the elemental damages barely do anything to any enemy in the game

Capcom had a hand in the Switch's final specs. They asked Nintendo to increase the RAM so it could run the RE Engine (The Engine RE7, RE2 and DMCV had) Nintendo did exactly what they wanted and increased the RAM

And that was 3 years ago. As it stands every single Capcom Switch game is an ancient overpriced port of their old shit, ROM dumps, and Mega Man 11. Not a single game from Capcom on Switch uses the RE Engine. The only thing close was RE7, which was a Japan only stream version that would wipe your saves if you didn't renew your purchase of it.
If the requested RAM boost was not enough to run the RE Engine and Capcom said nothing about it, that is entirely on them

REVII is the biggest meme. Yes, it has a mansion but that doesn't make it a return to classic RE. The game is constantly ripping control away from you with unskippable dialogue and cutscenes thrown at you every minute. The worst is when it makes you wait and listen to character talk, or walk around Inca glorified cutscene. It's clearly trying to be a movie.

Remake 2 is a godsend, and it actually understands what makes Resident Evil fun. For one, you can skip cutscenes you couldn't even in the original so it's an improvement in that regard. It's pure, unhindered gameplay that's tense because it's all in a gameplay context. The beefy zombies, lickers and Mr. X all combine into a genuinely tense experience that feels well crafted. The worst part of Remake 2 are the Ada and Sherry sections, but they only damage the pacing as a single event across the game. The whole walk through Kendo's shop and the intro to the sewers are just as bad and pace breaking. The rest of the game makes up for it though and it's the most pleased I've been with a game in many years.

Fuck REVII, if the series went down that path it would be dead.
