She doesn't use a sword as a traditional weapon, only for movement upgrades in SatPC. Her primary is still her hair whip.

I never crossed my mind that Shantae should use a sword in Smash.

I'd rather that she have a dimensional pocket sword though, like Gannondorf.

If she did have a sword, make it only for her D-air. That's it. Anything else would be unfaithful to the character

and while I'm brainstorming, I'd like her have a rhythmic kind of dance as she fully charges her smashes. Lucario in Smash4 sort of danced when doing charged smashes too.

I like Shantae, but I'm not convinced she deserves a spot. She definitely deserves at least assist trophy status, especially if Shovel Knight got in. But, didn't Sakurai already say that characters who are spirits can't be fighters?

Sakurai said that spirits replace trophies, even then I heavily doubt she'll be playable. Unless if they do some fighters pass where they make spirits become fighters. I do agree on her being at least an assist trophy though

Even in pirate's curse when she has her powers zapped, she still uses her hair like a whip. The sword is only used to pogo-stick off of enemies like ducktales and to shinespark sideways.

I actually played the latest and 100% it plus all non dlc achievements becuase it was on gamepass and its a fun platformer game i like the music, but......
