But the logo on the menu implies that he's a big fan of the restaurant's (game company) previous work. He almost hits the mark here. Really, Epic has just been scummy, and being pretty negative toward anyone not on their side. It might make more sense if the bowl was full of chinese spyware instead. There are already other storefronts, and games don't need a catch all launcher.

Steam has great features delivered to you via an infrastructure that explodes at the drop of a hat.
Epic has no features delivered to you via an infrastructure that holds together nicely.
Seriously, imagine a steam alternative that:
> Has games
> Offers devs a similar cut of money to Epic
> But without relying on exclusivity
> Has a comparable profile setup without any of the excessive customization
> Has friends, at very least, like Steam, and groups too most likely, rather than expecting people to rely on out of game communication EG discord to coordinate
> Has official forums hosted in the launcher/client
> Has a universal mod/file manager for games whose developers opt in, and a relevant section in the game's forums
