Its a fun souls like. A stylized anime game set in an Apocalyptic Gothic world with vampires. The combat is solid. Unique mechanics. Loads of character customization and plenty of big tiddy waifus don't hurt either.

Claw is the best for reaction parries

Ivy veils seem like a caster's friend. High gift stats, a super cheesy charge drain perfect for opening any fight, wide ranged combo drain for getting enemies off you. The trade off is being slow at parries and the charge drain being too slow to pull off once a fight's gotten started.

My personal taste, really. I wouldn't say either of them is objectively better, and they're very different from one another.
Don't worry i'm still buying Code Vein and I'll probably end up putting in more time with it than I did with Bloodborne because as a full package, CV delivers more. Just the combat is unsatisfying in a lot of ways for me.

I decided to see if anything happens if you clear all 3 boss rooms and every single regular enemy, including the "invaders," in the depths.

Nothing happens. You get some practice and some haze. Worth doing just for that.

Also, Aset wearing Night Hawk wielding the Zweihander is the best setup in the demo. GHX Assault is pretty useless mechanically even if it has tasty numbers.

Night Hawk is also the most aesthetic at the moment, though I'm eager to see the fashion of the black Ivy
