There's no good game with time travel mechanics
Prove me wrong
There's no good game with time travel mechanics
Chrono Trigger
Braid
There's no good usage of time travel at all.
Titanfall 2
in it's story or gameplay?
Legacy of Kain
no matter the answer you will just respond with "I said good".
prove ME wrong.
How do you even make a proper time travel story?
It basically requires having infinite parallel universes which means anything that can happen has happened which means nothing you do matters
Prince Of Persia
PoP: Sands of Time
Tuturu
Tuturu!
Ocarina of Time
Torrente 3
Final Fantasy XIII-2
TUTURU!!!
I liked Life is Tumblr
Death Stranding
It's not time travel but I absolutely stopped caring about infinite's story when they started dimension hopping and wondering why everything was getting fucked up/didn't make sense.
Tutturu~!
Tutupasu
Perfect
tuturu~
good game
surprisingly good multiplayer
It should have rules. Kingdom Hearts time travel was bullshit in it's story but the rules made sense
You couldn't change events that are destined to happen
You can't travel to a time before you were born and you don't remember the events that happend in your time travel.
KH3 made even that shit
Predestination
Based
Tutturu~!!!
Timesplitters
Tuturu~
>You can't travel to a time before you were born
I thought it was less that and more "a version of you had to exist at your destination" which is why Xehnaort was trying to put his essence in 13 vessels so he can travel around time
I definitely think it would make the most sense that if you could travel to the past and definitely "change" it from the "original past" you were familiar with, the parallel universes would already "be there" without time travel as were. But logically you could for story purposes make it so that it's the act of time travel itself that creates these parallel universes, as implausible it is. It's better than time travel in Steins;Gate, where there's just one universe that you otherwise revert exactly to some previous state EXCEPT Okabe randomly retains his original memories lmao.
I LOVE MAYUSHII!!!
Day of the Tentacle
THIS DESU
PRESS R2 TO TIME TRAVEL
Functionally that's basically just the same concept as a dark/light world.
Dont forget Stilton's Manor in Dishonored 2
>when you arrive its a coddemned building, Stilton's basically a hobo
>then you go back to that fateful night and find him before the tragedy
>leave him alone abd everything in the present stays as is
>OR knock him out, prevent him from going to the meeting
>in this case Stilton remains sane, his manor still stands proud and unblemished in the present
Me too user, me too
Braid.
>It basically requires having infinite parallel universes
It doesn't though
Just have a single timeline and keep the rules consistent, it's not that hard
Ghost Trick
Didn't he have some disease that affected his brain that had the unintentional effect of letting him percieve the shifts? They even show later that there are other people who can do it. From the standpoint of the narrative it's a serviceable excuse.
Dark Cloud 2 faggot
Nice
tutturuuu!!!
Evoland 2
yeah but it means the same the furthers he could traveld back was to his young version
Why?
>Ctrl+f radiant historia
>0
This place has really gone to shit desu
>radiant historia
>good time travel
You are unironically retarded if you think 2 timelines where different events happen merging is anything but pure bullshit
>It's better than time travel in Steins;Gate, where there's just one universe that you otherwise revert exactly to some previous state EXCEPT Okabe randomly retains his original memories lmao.
Or to be precise, when a d-mail is sense the past is "reconstructed", including most people's memories, according to the changes it would cause. When they use the "time leaping machine" it makes sense that Okabe has the memories from future and others don't.
I think it's pretty awful because otherwise the whole universe is changed to match perfectly the changes. It so arbitrary that there would be something special about memories. It still tries to be some kind of sci-fi rather than complete magic.
Into the Breach
You are wrong
he said good
Remember11 is good but saying that it has time travel would spoil part of the plot
There have been documented cases of dolphins offing themselves though.
Shiina Mayuri is... ___ _________
reminds me of this
youtube.com
SHE'S NECESSARY TO MY HEART
Titanfall 2
Pick up the phone.
You got killed by a little girl, imagine being that terrible
Ocarina of Time

dark light world is just the same as time travel desu.
3 houses, fractured but whole
That was an accident.
Manslaughter at best
Zero Escape series
Was just about to post this. VLR in particular is a very fun read
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
It gets way too complex by the end
Came here for this
>mash time travel while on titan battle.
>punch one in the face
>time travel, walk behind it
>punch it in the back
>combo it
>back in time
>punch it again
A shame that it's only for one level.
Majora's Mask
you can have just one timeline but if the user's problem was that "nothing would matter", that kind of time travel would be even more "fatalistic". there's still some interesting things you can do with time travel à la novikov's self-consistency principle it but it's pretty limited
what triggers me when in a time travel story people talk about "time paradoxes" as if they were some kind of disastrous events that could actually happen, rather than simply logical contradictions in our thinking. there are several things that might happen if you try to kill the past version of yourself, but "paradox" isn't one of them.
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages is great, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask did it well too. Even Oracle of Seasons counts, but it's less time travel and more about time manipulation.
Zelda in general has done time travel pretty well.
Life is Strange
Do you not know about my dick?
