Still fighting Demon of Hatred to this very day.

Great game, but absolute shit replayability. It was fun while it lasted, but without custom characters and alternate builds there's only so much to do.

I had a ton of fun with this game. Very fun boss fights, incredible environment designs, and pretty engaging combat. I don't think it has the replayability of the other games from soft has created, but it does an amazing job with what it does.

Bodhisattva Valley is an incredibly memorable zone. Same with fountain head palace.

You say that like it's a bad thing, game replayability wasn't even really a thing until DS started the whole NG+ trend. Don't know why everyone acts like it's a downside when the game is 40+ hours to finish.

>game replayability wasn't even really a thing until DS started the NG+ trend
made me reply.

Its fun to see the different age groups on Yea Forums

I started replaying it yesterday after a whole summer of not touching it and can say the same. NG without Kuro's charm and with the demon bell makes me appreciate the combat even more.

You are absolutely right about replayability but it was obviously never going to be similar to Souls in that respect, and it doesn't need to be. Unfortunately some people seem to think that every game has to last for 200 hrs at the very least

Demons souls had NG+ already dude

>game replayability wasn't even really a thing until DS started the whole NG+ trend
Damn, this is some next level bait.

Had the best 60 hours I've had this year with any game.
>Sekiro
>KH3
>DMCV

>DS
>meaning dark souls and not demons souls
how do you know I didn't mean Demons?
I understand that there were games with replayability pre-demons souls but my point is that it wasn't really a big thing as far as being used to criticize games until after. Like there have been plenty of games that hit a 40 hour mark and then you don't really play again that people loved that were never criticized but all of a sudden now that DS popularized the whole NG+ thing people think it's a valid criticism and think that every single game needs to have multiple playthroughs

I just want Boss Rush mode, don't want to replay game to fight again with some boss/mini boss.

Ok but dlc when

It's Dead Jim :(

Yes

It has nothing to do with NG+ brainlet NG+ has always sucked in Souls honestly I've never played a single one through NG+ because it's shit. The replayability of Souls has always been about the build variety, which Sekiro doesn't have. That said, due to the charm unlock after NG, Sekiro is the only one I've played through NG+ on because of the fundamental change the charm brings to the combat. However, I haven't played it since those first 2 playthroughs whereas DaS I've played multiple times simply because I want to play a different build.

I refuse to shill for sony to get this.

When can I expect a Switch release?

No nigger.

So it has to do with souls being rpgs when Sekiro clearly isn't? Sounds retarded

>You say that like it's a bad thing
It really is. I enjoyed the fuck out of the game, but without giving players a reason to revist the game it's just not going to stick around in the public consciousness. Deck19 has the same problem. They keep making souls-likes but don't allow any customization. The Surge was fun for a bit, but once you realize that literally every weapon is the same and the armor is all different shades of cookie sheet bolted to your ass, it loses all its charm.

Complaining about replayability is just another form of saying the game is too short.

no kuros charm + bell is a lot of fun indeed

Best combat ever.

So what about games like Doom? Or Max Payne? Or Yakuza? Or Tomb Raider? Or a million other games that don't have infinite replayability? Are they all garbage just because?

DS2 had a great NG+ though.

since when has 40+ hours ever been too short...

This.

>mfw my black wife fucking loves everything samurai/ninja
What's the deal with that chocolate user? I'm not complaining, just curious.
She introduced me to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Afro Samurai.

Your word is your bond

That's a good point, but a little misguided. The thing that made Dark Souls special was the sense of playing an action DnD game. You roll a class make a character and explore the world. Removing that customization takes a chunk of the experience with it. Sekiro is still fun, but it's missing that extra bit that made Dark Souls so entrancing.

DS2 legit had the best gameplay, even with the mountains of bugs.

Maybe that's because Sekiro wasn't a Souls game and wasn't an rpg and never pretended to be?

>goty
>literal parryfest with occasional shitty offensive attack
YIKES

>one weapon
fucking kek

>Sekiro
>not an rpg
>character progression is literally bound by a skill tree that costs more with time, like Souls levelling, like an rpg, and if you put the wrong points early you've made the game harder for yourself, like an rpg
sure mate

Sekiro is an action adventure game. If you legit think it's an rpg because of a skill tree you might be mentally ill

If Sekiro is an action adventure game then every Souls is an action adventure game.
Problem is, it sucks even at that, since it's the only action adventure game that doesn't give a shit about the story, about replayability and about different playstyles, same as it sucks at its rpg side, since i've never seen an action adventure game with written stats for both attack and defense and incremental skill point cost.

Meant for

Hit and run tactics makes him a joke

>only action adventure game that doesn't give a shit about the story, about replayability and about different playstyles
sauce on that lmao, your whole post is reeking of bullshit

You cheated not only the game, but yourself. You didn't grow. You didn't improve. You took a shortcut and gained nothing. You experienced a hollow victory. Nothing was risked and nothing was gained. It's sad that you don't know the difference.

Whatever nerd.

I've played it five times and I'm probably going to play it again near the end of the year. Great game
