The game is good (despite several flaws), but I think what causes rejection is the atmosphere that tries to be very deep and based on things like Dark Souls, when the game is about insects that look like they came out of an animation. made by Calarts artists.
I found it all too pretentious and forced for such a game.

This is not the biggest problem with the game. Honestly I find the atmosphere and gameplay amazing, but the exploration mechanics are terrible, the loop of entering a new area and having to find a map vendor is frustrating, you run into the risk of entering a boss battle and if you die you need to go back the same way to retrieve your stuff, without a map, it's much more difficult to do this on a 2D game than it is in a game like dark souls.
