nearly all of the problems would have been fixed if they allowed private dedicated servers from the start, only hope now is that vrchat goes borderline dead and has its sourcecode go open source or something

The controllers are battery powered for the Oculus but the Vive you plug in and charge with a USB.
Rift-S, I think only CV1 Rift Touch were battery powered, rest is built-in.

If you want something more premium than the Vive, get a Valve Index. If you want something cheaper while still being able to play PC titles, get the Rift S (original Rift isn't worth it).

Wife left for work about 20 minutes ago and I'm fixing to bust out some VR Kanojo. Owned the game for like 6 months but never get to play it because I'm never alone (and guaranteed to have no surprise visits).
Also, the fucking screen mirroring. What is with this shit? Every fucking game has its own individual config that forces screen mirroring to ensure no one ever has fucking privacy on their headsets. Mine headset shuts off if I turn my monitor off. Why is there no global setting to force all games to disable this shit? Even if you minimize/hide it when the game starts, you will still always be paranoid that it might pop back up and you won't know because you have a giant block on your face.
