Yeah it's a lot of fun. Don't be afraid to look up a guide if you get stuck, I remember wandering aimlessly sometimes in LttP.

The game really is good. It really mastered the art of top-down exploration. You just couldn't do it as well in 3D, even if the third dimension has its own appeal.
The key to beat the ice temple is memorizing the layout. Use your map for a little help. Also, there may be a passage you aren't finding. When it's not the layout, the problem in the ice dungeon is often because you don't know a specific passage. Rather than going circles, look for it, user! And don't forget you can push a block in the hole, even if it doesn't look like it's the correct side. Good luck, user.
