How do you manage ledge grabbing?
I made a tiny game a while back and basically had an anchor point on each corner that a player box could snap to if it was close enough and going at the right speed.

It isn't in the game. I took it out. Can you play it? Tnx.

put a little box on the facing side of the player.
when you're falling check for a tile collision with the box + your vertical speed for that frame. loop down 1 step at a time then snap to the grab position (relative to the tiles position)
you can smooth out the snapping with animation.

Are you trying to copy Strider? What's with the slip and slide movement? This feels more like Sonic the Hedgehog on ice. The jump is also completely unsatisfying, he rockets up, but then stalls in the air and then slowly floats down. This feels even worse with the double jump. He should only have a slight float once he reaches the peak of his jump, all other times his descent should be far faster.
You should really play the game you're inspired by a lot more. That will give you all the reference material you need. Right now your game is just really rough.

Don't be a cry baby. Use the info you got to improve your game. You can tighten up what you have. Replicate something as close to 1:1 as possible until it feels good and then add your own spin to it.

That depends entirely on what you're going for here. Are you trying to make a platformer or an action game? If you're going for action, how heavy is that action going to be? By that I mean are you planning on your enemy design flooding the screen with hazards? If that's the case, you may want to consider tightening up the controls closer to Strider 2, 2014, or the Mega Man X/Zero Series. Those games have refined controls where the player input is precise like a fucking laser. You don't move any further unless you're holding down a direction.
If platforming is going to be more of your gimmick, having looser controls where you can build up your momentum to clear jumps would benefit you more. Sonic and Mario are the prime examples if you're going down this path. Mario Maker 2's 3D World style is very satisfying in that regard.
Study those games, rip them off, and then deviate.
