Originally Lara Croft was suppose to be a man. But Toby Gard decided making her a man would have been too generic and the game would have been too much like Indiana Jones. So he made the character female to stand out. The big tits thing happened because other producers at Core thought big tits = better sales. Toby Gard was actually against it. I can't fault them for that logic, because it worked really well and helped sell Tomb Raider in droves. Lara Croft became this odd sex symbol with the early games. The problem with it - as with the new games is that it takes itself so ridiculously seriously it's just sad.
At least Angelina Jolie movies knew what they were and what their source material was. And those were fun movies.

I do love Top Cow Tomb Raider comics by the way. They are exact level of stupid fun you'd expect from them.
And the writers performed some really impressive mental gimnastics to give Lara a reason to run around naked every second issue.

They really are trying their damn best to push her. It's almost obsessive how hard they're trying, despite the fact that most people don't care for nuLara.
They better not make her wear a padded bra in the sequel; it looked so bad and out of place in the first one, that I couldn't help but start focusing on it the whole time and how bad it looked

They made the new goblina wear padding, except they went way overboard, and it looks really fucking retarded and obvious. Which is funny, they'd rather cast her and then give her a very poorly and obviously padded bra to wear the whole movie (and even zooming in on it to show it off like they were proud of it like wtf) instead of hiring someone with a more fitting body type i.e. not a fucking plank of wood.
