the first time I played that as a kid I was too scared to go further in the structure.
the original xbox version has way more atmosphere than the remaster

I fucking love that shit, horror that you didnt expect and have no idea why it suddenly went that way is the perfect and only true horror

time splitters future perfect

holy fuck i played DS3 blind and that first yelling corpse made me actually piss myself a little

Not really horror but the zombie noises in Conker's BFD really unnerved me for some reason.

I think he got everyone pretty good the first time around. I remember threads full of people legitimately pissed about it.

Project Eden, one of the best games that nobody has ever played.

Yeah, the zombies in that level freaked me out too. I was way too old to be scared of them even.

And it tends to turn out well too.

The story is shit, but the multiplayer was interesting when you could co-op.
This game's level editor was supposed to have a public release, but it never happened.

They set it up well. You walk in and see the corridor of jail cells, open the first one and it has loot on a corpse. So you get lulled into settling into the looting routine to check through the area. Then bam, screaming corpse.

Half life 2

The fucking lizard babies scare me way more than that shit
fucking uncanny valley

A Hat in Time's horror segment legitimately scared me. I scare easily and didn't expect such a tense segment.

Scariest thing in that chapter was the statue pulling a Weeping Angel on you before you could get into the manor
