How is it legal?
How is it legal?
Offf.
You know, I don't want to be 'that guy' but this might be the the biggest reason console gaming will live on forever...
Because laws favor the corporation. Fortunately, you can just pirate level the playing field.
I'm not sure of the exact details in terms of licensing but UE4 has steamVR API integration. I'm assuming Valve does not require a game to be on steam to have support for the Vive. Most likely Valve is getting a licensing cut from Epic using their API.
Well yeah because console simplifies so much bullshit that you don't have to put up with while those with PC have to deal with and they get frustrated with the bullshit so they come on here and shittalk about how bad consoles are and how great PC are because they can't admit that consoles are just basically prebuilt gaming PC consoles that you can plug into the tv and play and not worry.
Also PC are notorious for getting hacked to hell and catching viruses and having shit services so you end up paying out the ass anyway while with a console you are paying maybe up to 500 to get the console and 60 bucks for online service and that's it, your good to go from then on.
>poorfag
Yes. Consoles and piracy will never die, because these companies are such jews that they won't stop exploiting their own customers.

You're part of the reason why there's laugh at Yea Forums threads on /g/.

I watched few Tetris Effect videos on Youtube and from what I've seen, every time you clear the line you have this ''firework effect'', plus the screen is tilting all the time.
Can someone explain, how the hell can you play like that? Isn't that bothering you and can you turn it off?
It uses the SteamVR API for Vive and OpenVR. If you use Oculus Rift, you won't need Steam. AFAIK something similar happened with a GOG.com game. Kinda shitty, but well...
Oh, no. Consoles definitely try to screw the consumer and that might be a forever situation, but consoles are simple. Insert, play. Lately it's gotten more complicated, insert, install, check for update or download, check for update, check for licensing, please connect to the internet, rebuild database and so on, but you don't have a lot of these PC issues, either. The point is, for the most part it IS as simple as download/insert and play.
>Also PC are notorious for getting hacked to hell and catching viruses
I can't tell if this is a falseflag post to discredit Yea Forums or consolefags.
>Also PC are notorious for getting hacked to hell and catching viruses
Jesus christ.
For the last time mom, my games are not slowing down the computer. And get the fuck off of Yea Forums. Go to /ck/.
The "fireworks" can be turned down or up to your liking
The tilting is manually done by the player
OK, thx user!
Actually that notorious hacking part title belongs to Playstation user
because steam has a cuck fetish
>something similar happened with a GOG.com game
How long did this last on GOG? Cus i know that they will force publishers and developers to remove any DRM that they've forgotten to remove. Viktor Vran wasn't 100% DRM free and there was some friction with the publishers but now it is fixed.
I love gog because of the fact that i can just download a game from there and can simply play it offline right off the bat without issues.
First off it doesn't "require steam to run", only to use VR. Second, I'm not sure you need steam, but maybe just some offline API that happens to be part of steam. And finally I assume such program is free of rights.
Using SteamVR isn't DRM. You just need Steam installed to get SteamVR is all. People like OP are just idiots. It's only a dependency for a subset of VR headsets, and otherwise Steam is not needed at all.
How do you patch games in GOG? Old style patches? I never used GOG, so I'm sorry for stupid question.
In my 20+ years of owning a PC I have not once copped a virus.

So you didn't use XP pre-sp2.
You faggots sound like old people in the 90s telling kids to not install games on the family pc because they have viruses, literally the boomer tech illiterates of the gaming world.
Everyone mad at because they getting cucked by console games
Yeah it's not because you're a tech illiterate dipshit.
Well yeah, consoles have been holding the whole industry back for at least 15 years
maybe fifteen years ago faggot. Now all AAA games need massive day one patches even if physical, sony is hacked like 3 times a year, and they are just as likely to fully restrict your access to the game even if physical. Fuck off console nigger, you bring us shame.
t. life long nintendofaggot.
> this might be the the biggest reason console gaming will live on forever
unlike PC, consoles are only for playing games, as soon as people dont need consoles anymore, consoles will be gone, outside of collections.
A personal computer that you do all your stuff with will be around long after that, until everyone has their little wristband siri supercomputer that links visuals and control schemes to your nerve impulses, so probably a while longer than it takes for game streaming viable for the majority of people.
>Well yeah because console simplifies so much bullshit that you don't have to put up with while those with PC have to deal with and they get frustrated with the bullshit
Not a problem if you know how a PC works.
>Also PC are notorious for getting hacked to hell and catching viruses and having shit services
Stop clicking on shady links and you won't get viruses.
No. "SteamVR" just uses OpenVR, which works for any headset and is free to use.
>Also PC are notorious for getting hacked to hell and catching viruses
You can't be a real person in current year.
I thought people had been educated on this shit by now.
>valve isnt a monopo-
Holy run-on sentences, batman!
