It’s too fucking hard.
It’s too fucking hard
How to win 90% of fights in Bloodborne:
>as the enemy is winding up their animation, dash past them and hug their ass
>mash R1
>repeat
just practice, it's not that hard
STILL the best game of this gen four years on
Just hit R1 and you'll beat everything up to the mystery niggas or even the one reborn
And that's why Bloodborne got me laid
or completely outplay them
I just beat Orphan of Kos for the first time today. The feeling of victory completely outweighs the feeling of hopelessness at first when it's too difficult
>DUDE JUST LE DODGE LMAO XDD
where are you stuck in the game?
it's strange because i think its one of the easiest "soulsborne" i've played but it's maybe because it's my favourite so i wa more invested into this one . i'm not even a good player+my main weapon is the cane wich has the reputation on Yea Forums to be worthless
If you're doing it right you don't need to actually dodge, just stay in a position where 99% of their attacks will never hit.
git gud, game journalist.
What a masterpiece
It wasn't the easiest for me, who played through all of DeS, DaS1 and 2 with shields.
That cursed defilement chalice dungeon was pretty fucked up.
Literally just get Ludwigs Holy Blade and obliterate the whole game with it, nigger.
It’s a fucking dexfag simulator, as Lino as it is.
Just dodge and sait for an opening you fucking nigger
Kino*
I played it after DS3 (first souls game) and found it really easy.
>had its combat system completely BTFO by Sekiro in every way
what exactly does this game have going for it, again?
That is not even remotely true
??
Sekiro and Bloodborne have completely different combat styles. In no way are they similar.
Take your shitty bait elsewhere.
cringe
FUCK CHAIN UNDEAD GIANT THIS SRAT DONT WORK ON HIM
The dash animations in this game are fucking amazing.
Kirkhammer wrecks shit. Use it. One of my favorite weapons in any video game
Have played Demons, and Dark 1 and 2. They are all much harder than BB.
Bloodborne is only hard at the start. Once you level up and realized charged attacks are almost useless, it becomes a cakewalk.
Grinding blood echoes is astonishingly easy, with certain enemies giving you lots of echoes.
Only boss who has seriously bothered me thus far is Rom.
Nah, Sekiro did what Bloodborne tried and failed to do with aggressive combat. BB might be faster but the dominant strategy is still the Souls "wait until the enemy finishes his combo and then go in for a few safe R1s".
Play the DLC
If you tend to play aggressively, Dark Souls is hard and Bloodborne is easy.
If you tend to play defensively, Dark Souls is easy and Bloodborne is hard.
Welcome to Soulsborne
Play Cursed Defiled Chalice dungeons
I always found the Kirkhammer never did a lot of damage.
Wrong
>as the enemy is winding up their animation, shoot your gun and dash forward
>hit R1 for visceral
>repeat
Playing this recently, friend let me borrow his PS4. Loved Dark Souls, got too bored of Dark Souls 2 to finish it and never picked up 3 because I felt done with the series. Wanted to play Bloodborne though because of the hype that surrounds it, I'm a Switch + PC fag and just never liked most Sony exclusives to get a PS4.
For the most part I like it, though I think I prefer Dark Souls. A large part of that is the way it deals with healing. I have no idea why they went with this "Blood Vials" shit instead of just doing the Estus Flask again. I went into Old Yarnham with 12 Blood Vials, and for some stupid fucking reason literally no enemies in the zone drop blood vials (or I was just extremely unlucky) so if I run out while exploring the area I need to go back to the starting area and farm some fucking more. Just plain stupid design decisions, especially when it's something they already have fixed before.
Past that, I like that you have to play aggressively. The "Attack to heal back" Fighting game mechanic works great here.
I HATE that so many enemies have 'flurry' attacks. I felt they were much more rare in Dark Souls, meanwhile in Bloodborne 90% of enemies have a chance to just do a string of attacks that are 10 seconds long.
I like the gun, but I'm shit at using it. I swear it doesn't work sometimes, but again I'm fucking shit so whatever.
Other than that the gameplay is basically a faster version of (shieldless) Dark Souls - dash behind enemy, two or three attacks, then repeat.
Currently getting assfucked by a giant electric hairy skeleton. Just beat the white wolf lady and the witch so have no idea if I should be here, but whatever.
>dude it's just mario just jump to win
Oh also the Witch boss was pathetic. Have From done any 'gimmick' boss fight right? They seem like total hacks trying to do a boss outside of the typical "Roll behind them and stab their ass" type shit.
I've beat the story and DLC and defiled Watchdog is still filtering me
I beat the Watchdog by going full beastmode and just stunlocking the shit out of its legs. I'm never gonna bother with the Loran beast though.
It's not that hard, but HOLY FUCKING SHIT FUCK VICAR AMELIA.
THIS STUPID FUCKING DOG NIGGER I HATE WITH A PASSION
>Beat Blood Starved Beast after like 10 fucking tries
>Beat Amelia in two tries
Was I supposed to do Amelia first? She was way easier. Also FUCK POISON.
Blood Starved beast was piss easy. The fuck were you doing, user?
>newfags still think bloodborne is hard
Pathetic.
I don't get the deal with BSB, a lot of people saying he's hard, but I've also seen a bunch listing him as the easiest boss. I also beat him on first try, he seems really fast and moves around doing a bunch of cool attacks, except they never hit me.
The gun is easily the most powerful weapon once you get the timing down for their attack animation it makes enemies that would be tough in early Yharnam a joke
He's just punishes people who dodge back. Run around him or dodge forward and he can't really do anything
Fuck this game couldnt fucking beat that werewolf boss after 50 tries, thats fucking bullshit level spike, only good thing about this game is you can get help from friends and kick monster ass
Bloodborne's combat felt shallow even before Sekiro.
>Game is easy at its core
>Become hard thanks to the game running like shit
What did they mean by that?
Just grind and save. Grind and save. Grind and save. Think like a Japanese gamer, and you'll get it.
>and save
aaah doubt it.
Cane at 50skl and good physical gems is amazing because it roll catches anything.
Unless you're at 50Str and 25skl and full phys up gems the hammer won't do more that the sword. Once you get the gems the hammer wrecks shit
It's also the only weapon in the game with shockwaves on most of it's attacks
It has a block that nullifies gunspam
And has a very wide array of moves
It doesn't act or play like any other weapon in the game so you really have to get used to it.
The amount of wizardry you can pull is phenomenal though.
>played through all of DeS, DaS1 and 2 with shields.
>with shields.
That's your problem, right there
The sheild is amazing against reiter and Evelyn spam.
Turns 309 dmg into 9dmg.
Sekiro is just L1 spam, dodging only exists in it bc soulsfags expect it as a fefature
Loran beast is easy if you can get he timing right on iframing his aoe
>tfw cant even get to the first lamp in the DLC
I'm so fucking bad.
it's hard in an obnoxious, retarded way
sekiro is harder AND more fun
It's the easiest soulsborne game though
Ask /bbg/ for help.
It just has inverse difficulty curve.
Gasgoigne is the hardest first non-optional boss in souls.
Then bloodstarved beast is the biggest scrub stomper. Vicar is impossible if you don't have at minimum a +3 weapon.
First chalice boss is a literal filter and is scaled far too high and cleric is just bait because his HP is huge and wastes all your vials.
Shadows are also hard if your a scrub and fighting Dark beast too early will open your asshole.
After that it's easy sauce.
it's not l1 spam, you can't even l1 spam a lot of the enemies because they start perfect parrying you, parrying and evasion are much more important
Might be a starting item issue and and item management issue. I found blood starved to be the second hardest after Marty Longnap, but I had the Threaded Cane. Fighting it in phase 3 always would proc a poison with if I stayed in cane form and whip form would do little damage and leave me to vulnerable. I also refused to use fire paper, beast blood, or pungent vials. It took me about 15 tries to get past her.
Only for her to only drop a fucking chalice.
it's unbalanced as fuck. bosses are hard because you're fighting the camera, but only if you fight them at their "intended" blood and weapon levels (whatever the fuck these are)
on the other hand it's way too easy to overlevel (sometimes accidentally even) and stomp every boss, even the DLC ones
I'm thinking about starting this game soon, anything I should know? Any advice would help really, never played a Souls game or any of that before
based newfag
just DONT lock on huge enemies and game is fucking easy
only DLC have hard bosses, main game is a joke
you''re fucked
i've platinumed 2 and 3 but never managed to beat the last DLC boss
it's that hard
What? Everything before Shadows is easy as shit
If it was possible to date and marry a game it would be this game
based and bloodvialed
platinumed main game too btw
FUCK ORPHAN OF KOS
DLC is only hard cuz most people played it on ng+1 or 2 on ng its ez too
>>Then bloodstarved beast is the biggest scrub stomper.
>Never owned a ps4, but played till cleric beast once
>friend hands me a controller at bloostarved beast.
>take it down to two hits before falling
Bloodborne ain't that hard.
its not hard
you just suck dick
>i've platinumed 2 and 3
nice argument, you casual bitch
I have 25 of the base game weapons on one save, but don't have the Gherman's weapon on it. However, I have Gherman's weapon on another save, but I didn't get the trophy.
Do I have to have all weapons on ONE save?
it becomes easy after learning parrying. learn how to parry, fighting with those two fatfucks near the elevator in the first level.
Just level health and whatever damage type your favorite weapon uses. After that, raise some stamina to whatever you see fit.
1 character has to have held them all at one point.
>bloodborne so easy, i almost beat the easiest boss in the game on my first try
I fucking love starting a new game and rushing Amelia with serrated+fire spam to get to the DLC. All of those delicious weapons before any boss... that's good design right there.
Have them equipped or just owned?
Pussy
Literally easier than any Souls game.
Yes.
Wrong.
Dungeons.
I beat orphan on ng+1 without parry
rest is easy
Be aggro as someone on coke, but as paranoid as someone on meth. The game has a mechanic called rally where if you take damage you can recover most of it if you damage the enemy immediately after. So study and try to juke out enemy moves, but don’t panic if you get hit. Slap them back and jump back out of range.
Heal items are better saved for bosses, because dying is cheap. You gain currency(blood) as you kill and you drop it all when you die. The caveat is you have one life to go and get your blood back, and enemies near where you died might pick it up so you might have to kill them to get it back. The further you go the more blood you can earn, so don’t really stress out about blood farming.
Eyes open and explore every nook. If you play online most of the messages will point out every secret and ambush out the ass. In my opinion it’s better to play the first time offline, but there are very good arguments for doing it online.
Armor is mostly for style, but it might just be the edge you need in certain sections. Except for frenzy, don’t be ashamed for stacking protection against frenzy in certain areas.
The 25 base game weapons include Gherman’s. Unless you missed a badge just buy the missing one in a new game plus.
>Do I have to have all weapons on ONE save?
Yes you colossal idiot. That's how it works. Just have them all in one char's inventory and you'll get the achievement.
You don’t have to experience all three endings on one save file, so it’s not like it is mandatory. He is just a tiny idiot, don’t be mean.
Thanks, mate. I'll keep this in mind
I forgot to add one thing. One currency is called blood and the other is called Insight. Spend your blood whenever you want, there is only one shop and there is literally no point in holding on to it.
Insight is a little more complex because it has some obscured game mechanics related to it and is not as easy to come by. You can use it to summon human players to help you or spend it to buy unique/rarer items, but some people tend to hoard it. Can’t get pass 99 stacks, so make sure to spend it before then.
It's impossible to beat Sekiro by just L1 spamming but dodging and R1 spamming is literally all you do in Bloodborne.
>Has never spin to win
its a slightly worse ludwigs holy blade, not worth it
this game isnt hard but anyone got any tips or strats for consistently killing rom? that one boss feels like rng every playthrough on whether or not she's gonna be aggressive with aoe
i swear fuck if (you) respond with lol just lightning bro. lightning doesnt work when im doing my XRA insight run or my santa clause wheel run or any of those
playing ds3 after platinuming bloodborne and this game is easy as fuck, you can literally parry the attacks lmao
>pvp
Kill all the spiders while strafing Rom. The attacks have huge tells, so you have plenty of time to react.
Alt strategy, pop a beast pellet and just go ham.
BEAST PELLETS OF COURSE
rom is just a matter of positioning: stay far enough from him so he does the "falling rocks" attack, after his animation ends you dodge the rocks by running near him, place 2-4 hits and then floor it away before you get fucked by the spiders
I had no trouble with the main bosses, but fuck that undead giant with the ball and chain. That thing killed me more times than every other boss combined.
lmao that guy has some shitty hitboxes but wait till you get to the fucking amygdala, that one's a real beast
I can’t tell if you are being sarcastic, but it’s legit the speedrun strat for Rom. His big stupid body makes it stack real easy and you just shred him, just be aware of the debuff.
sorry I was worried it would come off sarcastic. I always spam beast pellets vs Amelia because fuck healing but for some reason I never thought to use it on rom. Actual ty to u user
>Not wanting to crunch a host and his think posse
I love ringing into a cursed dungeon and firing cannon volleys at dungeon divers.
My signature move is to take a high spot and fire 2 cannon shots aiming to gauge the enemy HP.
Now that I've fired they think I'm out of bullets so they run me down, little do they know I started with 34 quicksilver.
They may expect the first 2 cannon shots, but not the 3rd. Or 4th. Or 5th. Or 6th.
The joy I get from blasting Cooperator after Cooperator with the BMA cannon is sublime.
This, i'm absolutely shit at these games (didn't even make it to the first boss in Sekiro) and yet i completely steamrolled through BB by just using the Ludwig's Holy Blade build
Shut up Rei
It’s ironically the easiest Souls game thanks to hp regain (rally) and beast mode. For OoK just use the augur
Muh DEEP lore
I want to get through it myself and I don't want someone to try helping me just for me to die.
PvP is dead. I get 10x more hits from co-op search at the altar
