No.

Yes.

Kys

Define bad. Bad gameplay? Nah it's fun to play. Bad story? Oh yes.

Its not the worst Kingdom hearts.

Yeah, but Sora's so cute though!

This to be quite desu. Every game that isn't a mainline game of Birth By Sleep is still worse.

I'll fight you over Re:Coded

The games combat is not as good as the latest handheld releases but if you've only played the first two games you'll have fun with it. Not sure why they had to take a step backwards with this. The story is mediocre too. It wraps things up in such a lackluster way.

All in all a mediocre KH game but considering the state of videogames currently it is significantly better than most.

>The games combat is not as good as the latest handheld releases
I'd pick KH3's combat over Dream Drop Distance's any day of the week

would like to add that the story shortcomings may be fixed with the DLC.

>Cutting story content to release it later as DLC just like they did with FFXV

No..it's much worse.

the problem isn't that it's bad, it's that it's not good
a mediocre game is infinitely worse than a bad game

lack of difficulty and poorly-paced story bored me to death until the Keyblade Graveyard, which was incredible.
im hyped for Remind

It's not good but it's real comfy

I have a lot of problems with Re:Coded especially when it comes to the alternate gameplays, but motherfucker i'll defend the combat of that game to the point i'd even wet my socks for it, it actually made me miss the ridiculously damage sponge enemies from Days just so i could have Re:Coded's combat lasting longer

I think this was done strategically this time, Nomura had to put his focus into ff7r and fans were rabid about kh3 coming out soon. They put it out in it's current state knowing they could come back to it and polish it up after ff7r was more fleshed out. It's not an ideal situation but not putting all of his focus into ff7r would be stupid from a business standpoint, Sqeenix is hurting for cash right now and ff7r is their hail mary. I'm expecting the dlc to drastically improve kh3 in nearly all aspects. XV was absolutely fucked by being stuck in production hell for so long, it was beyond saving when the DLC was being pushed. This was evident when they cancelled all the other planned DLCs.

I mean kinda, I didnt really see any huge merits to the combat but it was solid. Honestly I think CoM had the most thought out combat in the series but the format just wasnt appealing. For what it is its rock solid.

>I'm expecting the dlc to drastically improve kh3 in nearly all aspects.
What specifically? Because for now the DLC really doesn't sound like it'll change the game in any way, only provide an additional chapter that is selected outside of the main story and give you two new keyblades which yeah their transformations will play different from the other ones, but it's not like the gameplay with the Kingdom Key would be any different

It's the worst numbered and one of the worst overall
>Inb4 some pajeet missreads my post and think's I said the worst overall

It's okay but the main problem is that it didn't live up to fan's expectations and didn't end the series

>would like to add that the story shortcomings may be fixed with the DLC.
I doubt it will fix everything

I'm curious how hard Disney had Noruma by the balls for the development of this game after being ported to unreal engine. It feels so out of place for KH and certainly rushed in parts. Not to mention no FF
>Inb4 Their story was done!
So was Winnie the fucking Pooh

>get Olimpia
>"what the fuck is this combo?"
>get used to it
>kick ass with it
it did many things right that it angers me that BBS and 3D didn't follow through

KH3 is dogshit cope.

youtu.be/nB1_a8EC5WQ

hell no the game was super fun who says its bad

Well BBS came before it so i can't blame it for that but i'll definitively roast DDD for not following with it
I mean, DDD does have a better flow than BBS when it comes to switching between normal attacks and commands, but it also removed so much of the shit that BBS did get right that it's basically not worth it

More boss battles and more playable characters for one. Plus the trailer seemed like the new bosses will utilize the combat to its fullest, it looks like theres some QTEs and timing sensitive aspects to it. I mean I have no idea really I'm just guessing more optimistically at this point. I'm hoping that this kind of stuff and the additional story bits will make the game feel more rewarding overall.

Well more post-game content is definitively a plus no matter how you look at it, i was coming from the angle of how the mechanics would be improved but i guess you never said your current stance on them so i just assumed you had some gripes with the combat itself

I myself am not sure if i'm looking forward to the DLC, i played KH3 on launch and then did Proud lvl 1 and while i enjoyed it in general it was too easy for me to truly get a grasp on the game (Proud 1 only got interesting starting with goat Xehanort, it kicked my ass hard and made me really appreciate that fight, while X-Blade Xehanort also kicked me but didn't enjoy it as much), my PS4 died the exact same day Critical released so i'm yet to play that, it's currently being fixed so i'll finally get a taste of it tomorrow, if i enjoy Critical the way i enjoyed goat Xehanort then i'll be excited for the DLC

Yes

>Terranort isn't the final boss

>didn't meet Neku and the gang at Shibuya
>riku and aqua only playable once
>no playable Kairi
>no playable Axel
>no world that acknowledges gummi space like monstro
>somehow gummi flights are even more boring than KH1 and they knew it so you can very easily just cut off to the side and avoid enemies entirely
>cut content was released as 0.2 a couple years earlier instead of leaving it in the game to polish
>paid dlc is recyled content that includes just organization rematches, and the keyblade graveyard with different characters
>organization rematches don't have their own unique battle arenas like in KH2FM
>no new playable areas in the DLC
>Lingering Will uses Earth Shaker instead of Ends of the Earth
>Sora can't run in circles properly

KH3 was a disaster.

>>Lingering Will uses Earth Shaker instead of Ends of the Earth
Are you fucking high mate?

It's about to get real good

a very fun romp through disney worlds made better by the fact that it triggers it's own autistic fans for betraying their head cannon

It's painfully average, which is the worst part.

Best game in the franchise, soon to have more content than KH2 FM, with the ReMind DLC. Feels good that we won’t hear from the KH2babbies ever again.

For all the years of buildup, sidestories, and sheer hype leading up to KH3, there was basically no hope of it living up to the hype. It's just fine, but at the same time, it's probably the most rushed game that's been in the making for 10 years

romp through disney movies more like. 4 of the worlds were literally just fucking clips ripped from the movie and nothing more

Some people didn't like it, but here you'll see more bitching about it. I enjoy the shit out of it but maybe because my expectations were met. Shit in the end just gets wrapped up very quickly and that turned a bunch of people off but I was happy just to get closure on a bunch of stories. To be fair I've played and finished every single KH game and on all it's stupid different consoles (For the mobile shit, I was as far as it allowed me to go) so I was as caught up the the story as much as possible. Shit made a lot of sense because of that but probably won't if you don't get the DEEP KH lore. It's all retarded but I never take it super seriously, I just enjoy the sprinkles of wholesomeness and nice moral values the story tries to bring up. It has a lot of cut-scenes and I'm pretty sure it's meant for fans like me and not for people just stepping in so take that in consideration before buying it.

It was incredibly disappointing and feels unfinished.

1 > 2 > 3 > Everything else

The story sucked because of disney. Disney won't let them actually do good Disney worlds anymore.

See the Frozen world where Disney clearly forced them to add in Let It Go in its entirety.

Do you think the new game will probably be more square based and less Disney?

>there was basically no hope of it living up to the hype
It would have been nice if they at least tried. Everything about 3 just feels so lazy and half baked.

No, but you can play the game and beleive what you want

This

absolutely not. Disney is a cancer that only grows, never shrinks

No, it's worse. Much worse. Some angry faggot from /vg/ won't change that.

>Re:coded console remake never

Not really. It was definitely riddled with flaws and disappointing in ways but I still had good time with it. Dlc looks like its adding some neat stuff so I'll definitely go back to it. Not getting my hopes up by I really hope Scala gets expanded.
