I pirated H3 a couple days ago only to find out it stutters like ass on my PC. I think it has something to do with it having only 8GB of RAM, I have to close just about every non-essential process I'm running or else the game won't even load.

It does. It ran like total shit on my pc with 8 GB RAM and 2GB VRAM. When I upgraded to to 16 GB and a 1050 ti it ran great.

Hey I also have a 1050ti, I figured maybe it could be VRAM running out instead but I guess that's not it. Thankfully RAM prices are relatively comfortable these days, I'll get around to getting another stick sooner or later.

I heard these games in particular don't play nice with overlays and similar hooking software, microsoft store tomfuckery who knows. Honestly haven't tried it though, I already uninstalled 3 in the meantime but I'm gonna try 4 next. I don't remember the demo causing so much of a problem back when it came out, but I'll have to check if it applies to the full game too.

I think you get matched based on your connections so you'll see people close to you instead of BRs with 300 ping or something.

Nah. No simulators or strategy games.
I've only had a problem with overlay stuff a couple times usually it works great and I typically only use it when I'm tweaking a new game or hardware. I've also found that Horizon 4 actually seems better optimised than 3.

Horizon 3 had total shit optimzation on PC at first but it got fixed eventually. Maybe the pirated one never had that patch.

I got it from IGG and it supposedly comes with the last patch, expansions and all. Not sure how true it is for the patch version is or if there was another "last patch" after the game got uploaded there, but the expansions were definitely on the menu for what little time I got to play it.
